It happens to me pretty much alot .... I bet alot of people
that play full str noticed ...

There is something else than critical .... I call it lucky strike
(I call it that) .... so sometimes it happens that it doubles dmg
without critical .....

I was just powerleveling friend ... and I hitted mob 12k with maddening...
Turned zerk on and I crited mob 85k ....

So there were zerk + critical + lucky strike ...
Any one else noticed "Lucky Strike"?

When u where leveling me lol (i'm his mysterious friend that saw his ''lucky strike'' actually i didnt saw it lol )
he just told me so

does your friend have it on his? exp share, it might transfer over?

Same thing has happened to me. I just figured it was some sort of lag that it didnt show critical

It happens quite often too

I get that too, as if im attacking something and I hit abnormally high as if i had critted, but theres no crit, and when i do crit, it'll be around there, or it'll be almost double it

I do get the same thing too. But i always thought it was me critting and just having the crit word not appear =/

My bowman hit 30k without zerk nor crit.

It's was pornage.

Guess there really is Lucky Strike ...
I hitted with maddening 20k instead 10k , and I saw that there is
penetration on maddening ..... and I said myself "oh yeah ...
thats probably the reason" ...
And after that I hitted with bash 9k instead 5k ... (non critical ofc) ...

This is old.

People who have glaive characters often get this with mars.

Normal Mars is around 5-7K. But you do hit 10K mars a lot without the word crit on it.

We assumed that was just a crit without the word crit.

This happens a lot, and has been happening for a long time.

A few screenies to prove it ....




Btw ... about yellow boxes ... dont say "omg no yellow boxes" it dissapeared ... Coldown of maddening is 4 sec ....

dam how do you play with all that crap on your screen? lol i have a 22inch widescreen and i play max rez and still feel like i have enough space..

maybe another bug that came with this new client? try with sound on might just be a crit but without the text beneath it

i only get it with mars, i do critical damage without getting a crit.. happens about as often as getting a crit with mars lol

Yes that happends to me too. I think i even got a pic with my rogue when i was 21 lvl hiting movia 10k without crit and zerk. normal hits should be 5k just it was crit without crit image.

Happens to me also. I think it is a bug because I (am either hearing things or I am right about this) hear the critical sound on the "Lucky Strike".

That happens when you do a crit and knockback at the same time. It happens to glaivers as previously mentioned. I see in your screenshot of your crit damage without the word, the monster is a little bit away from your char. When you knock back and crit in the same hit, you hear the critical sound, and you get the damage, but not the word.

sounds about right.

Wouldn't be surprised if KB is the culprit. I am absolutely sure it's a crit without the words appearing on it...so that 85k must have been your imagination or something. It sounds reasonably since KB also screws up a KD, so it just fits.

I know maddening does that and Glaive's kb do that too. if you look carefully sometimes they hit for double I 1 hit crit another str glaiver like that.

I know for a fact maddening does that too, glaive kb im fairly certain i dont know about bows etc.

I have 17 inch ... but I putted resolution (as I normal do) 800x600 when I
take screenshots for SRF (or any other forums) coz they fit nice...

try that full screen and its fugly. stills feel claustrophobic though.
and nah i dont believe there is a lucky strike.

if you have sro sound on, you can hear the critical sound... so its just crit

if you can hit 40k crit on that bunwang then it might be lucky shot + crit^^

Crit + Knockback ~ game doesnt show critical..
