lol i just fell for that stupid scam were u stall for 1 gold, open-close then change price. so yea i ended up buying a protector elixer for 20mil =(

one of the many reasons i don't carry much more then 500k with me. If i see someone trying to scam i don't have enough to buy it when they switch the price to 1m or more, and when they leave it at 1 gold i get it.

Heh....kinda like the time someone was yelling out "BUYING ALL SOS" in Hotan...I was like uhhh ok So i went over to him and showed him what SOS i have and he says ill give u 15 million for it if you throw in your sword, All of that was NOT worth 15 million or even close to it And i believed he would pay...xD

So he does a trade i put all my stuff up there he puts 15 mil and then we both press accept then HE Puts up a friend request and it BLOCKED what he was trading i accepted his friend request and he had changed 15 mil to 15k -_-

I just said GTFO

dam that happened to me. i think it was a weapon elixer. i was calling out "sellung weapon elixer for 100k" and (i still remember his name -.-)Alex_Ford came and said he would buy it for 250k. so i said ok and put the wep elixer. he put 250k, then sent me the friend request thingy. i accepted and by then he had changed 250k to 25gp-.-. i kept spamming him for the whole day. BTW i was like lvl 20 and i needed to buy a wolf, wat could i do?

Some people don't get why the storage has a bank function....until they get burned carrying around millions. Seriously, if you carry more than 2 mil max around with you you are asking to get scammed. Probably anything above 1 mil is overkill... what are you going to do anyway, spontaneously buy something useless/underpriced? Take the 20 sec to get your money and do it anyway.

Some nooby tried to scam me changing elixirs on me and we ended up staring at each other's trade windows for a few minutes after I finally said "I am waiting for you to change that back." He tried swapping it again, and then I just canceled and walked away...5 mins later (I kept spamming wtb wep elixirs) he pms me and says for real this time... so he does it again and we stare at each other for a while longer until I finally say "Didn't work the first time, what makes you think I lost 100 IQ points in 5 mins?". Got my elixirs from somewhere else, then the guy pms me again and tries to sell me some..."Missed your chance."

Sometimes I carry around all my gold if I'm shopping for something expensive. It takes me FAR more than 20 seconds to get to storage in Hotan. It's more like:

1. Turn my view toward storage
2. Wait 45 seconds for screen to update
3. Realize I spun too far
4. Turn view back to correct
5. Click to run towards storage
6. Wait 80 seconds for screen to update when my character gets 1/3rd of the way there
7. Frantically click behind me when I notice I've run too far, but the game isn't paying attention to my clicks because of lag.
8. Get to storage a few minutes later
9. Open storage
10. <lag-related details removed>
11. Finally arrive back at the desired stall to find the item already sold.

So I just carry my money with me only IF I'm shopping. I'm smart enough to just walk away if the person starts changing their price constantly. I normally don't buy through exchange, but if I do, I make sure the other person accepts first.

+1 it could happen to anyone, especially when you're tired. Carrying less gold with your char is fine and all, at least it helps to limit future similar scams from affecting you. Being aware of scams, careful, and vigilant at all times when dealing with any transactions usually suffice.

Take extra care when a trade is "too good to be true", or when dealing with large amounts, or when you're tired

I know all about V, and I use it all the time, but it doesn't help me much with lag. It does help me click the ground though since I then can't see all the players.

Sometimes I'll even hold down V as I'm running up the steps at the west gate, but as soon as I get up to the colorful tile floor around the center of town (with V down) it's lag city. Better than without V but still pretty bad.

the key to not being spammed is not to be greedy
you cant get something for nothing
also check your prices when stalling when you are tired
i sold a wolf for 150k the other day, lol such a noob mistake

You won't be saying that when you see a sun weapon mis-priced in stall net for 99 million instead of 999 million. Then you franticly go to storage and take out all your gold then spam F and try and find the weapon just to realize someone else got it before you. I always carry everything around with me.

Always double if not triple check exchanges (use a stall anyway..less chance of being scammed). Never 'pretend' to go along with scams just for fun, you might end up screwing yourself. Scams are easy to recognize..

Best scam I've seen in Greece would be 'WTS SUN 64 BLADE FOR 300 MIL!!!' Then he opens a stall in hotan with a normal sos blade for 300 mil and the first idiot that enters rushes and buys it just to go "FCK U SCAMMAR"

when i was a nublet i remember selling a weapon elixir for 50 mill
