Spammers 1 - 0 Joymax

I thought the block update will be very usefull but once the update is here i see spammers with hard names that cant be blocked.. 12 letters consists of capital I and lower case L..
how to avoid this?

You don't have to pk2 edit anything.

Shift+click the spammer so you get his name in the chat bar. Erase the last l or I in the name and type a capital i instead. Then try whispering something to the guy. If it works you know it should be a capital i. If it doesn't work it's an L. Write that down or something, then erase the second last letter and type a capital i. Try whispering again.. do the same with every confusing letter in that name.

Takes max 2 minutes to do and you don't have to mess with SRO.

well it works in the fact that f you delete, use a letter and try, if it works you knwo the letter you used is the right one. write it down, delete two and add a letter + the one you know, then try again. keep doing it for the whole name

since you shift click the guy to pm him you can manipulate each letter individually... so it doesnt take 4096 tries, just 12.

Just check 1 letter at a time starting from the end, its not that hard >.>.

Just change the windows font file with a new one that was posted here some time ago - no need to pk2 edit and no need to start guessing what the names might be.

this is the case because and of the the characters can be either combonation of 2 letters...ie: LLLiiLLLiLLL or LLiiiLiiLLLi

EDIT: they can be any combonation of the 2 letters in any order

this is how it works.. in the best way i can think of.

IF stupid-bot-spammer is called ililillilli, capitilized I so you can't tell, first you shift+click his name, his name will appear in your chat bar!

try PMing him. His last letter ends with an i, but you dont know that. So you delete the last letter of his name, put in an l. If it doesn't work, you simply put in an i for the last letter. Repeat with second-last.

An example of how (i think) it should go:

/pm ililillilli
/pm ililillilll <-- try an L!
-UNABLE TO FIND SAID USER!-
IT MUST BE AN i!!!!
/pm ililillilli <-- works, so it's an i
/pm ililillilli<-- Try an L!
TO (ililillilli): STUPID GOLD BOT SUXX0R MY B0XX0R!.
Rinse, rise, repeat, then block him :0.

it should only take 12 (or 24 if you REALLY want to be sure..) at MOST.

ok, because you seem to be one of those people who think they know everything and seem to lack a basic understanding of math, i will explain the flaw in ur logical thinking

lets say the spambot has given name: LLLiiLiiLLLi

now lets say you start with going all L's
obviously that doesnt work, so your next sequence of guesses will be as follows:
LLLLLLLLLLLi
LLLLLLLLLLii
LLLLLLLLLiii
and so on until you reach Liiiiiiiiiiii
now none of those work and you are already at 12 guesses...i might add that ur "logical" approach to this isnt even close to the actual name of the spambot yet
now lets say you reverse starting with i's
needless to say, you get the same unsatisfatory result, now you are up to 24 guesses and still not even close
what i am trying to show you is that trial and error wont work, there are far too many possibilities.

You can find any IIIIIII spam bot's name in under 12 tries...
just observe the technique and think.
You are verifying your guess everyletter.
And since there 12 letters max, 2 choice per letter -> 24 tries if you try both capital i and lower case L. But since you only need to try once per letter to know which one it is, (ands that where the 6th grade math kick in) 24/2=12
