should i get silk?

the items i want are below
devil wings, bear pet (when it is out) and the cat pet (pick up one)

i dont know if i should get silk just for those though because they cost like $10+ per item and if i get cat pet i have to get $5 silk each month to keep it alive and that kind of adds up...

plus i just have $25 to spend if i get silk anyways

Game is great, company is which is farked up. And I would suggest to spend money on things that help you, not only provide JoYMax with money, so no use of buying those lame wings. But grabber is totally worth, i just lost my bunny and now i cant even make myself to play anymore sro, it makes so much easier everything. But yeah if you dont want to become more addcited to item mall dont buy anything

GT's are worth it imo..

get the pick up. its 5 bucks a month after the first month, its more than worth it. im gettin devil wings. but thats my parogative. i get sp tickets at times, and i get arrows at times. reverse retrun is usful when farming, as long as you dont become dependant.

most people that say don't spend money on this game do spend money on it or are under lvl 50.. the game is made so you need to buy silk to have a some what fun game experience. they are out to make money and thats the bottom line, money.

you need to find out if it is worth it to you to spend money on a game. if you have a lot of money then it is not a problem if your not as blessed as some then you need to see in what about if any will fit your needs in game.

No one can answer your question but yourself. I'd personally never pay for a free game.

Yes, if I wanted it to stay free. Its one big paradox.

if you dont buy silk please dont start bitching about the game and yet still play it.

if you buy silk then i guess you dont have a problem speding a few bucks a month to have fun.

If you want to have fun in game and dont want to suffer lvling/conection etc

just buy silk and problem solve.

The only thing that I would pay for is tickets, pets, and maybe globals.

Silver Premium (to log in) and pick up pets  $25 a month, every month until you quit or die .

you decide it you self but some of it is worth like other say GT and pet

You will spend 13$ on wings, in other words, you will spend 13$ to look like a gay

GT is best you can buy

^have to agree with deep.in, if ur gonna spend money, spend it on useful things which benefit you the most.

Well, I do believe it is worth it.

For almost 1 year I only bought silk to keep the bunny as I do believe it is worth it. I only recently decided to but a premium ticket and a astral/immortal to + my weapon. I also bought the Halloween suit.

If you have some money to spare I would certainly pay for the grab pet, except that I would wait until lvl 64 to buy astrals/immortals.

It all depends on your current situation, if you work and have an income...then spending a few dollars on silk will not make a big difference. If your not working... then do not but anything except the grab pet.

Don't listen to them, if you want to buy silk go ahead, I have bought angel wings, devil wings and the harry potter suit the first day they came out because I like them all, it's not a waste of money if you can afford it, it gives your character a bit of customization (yes, I rather have a suit some people hav than a face the 50% of the male players have).


I play silk as a hobby to let the stress out of my system so I can't be arsed to try 50 times to login so I have a premium card as well. I can't be arsed to spend endless days farming so I got myself an spexp ticket. I certainly don't like to pick things up, that's what I got AnnoyingFrog for!
I don't like the way grey wolves look they look bad, I got my white and cute Vengaboy to make me company!
I am poor very poor in-game so I can't spend much on elixirs, I need astrals a lot and sometimes immortal stones.
My archer has a very limited inventory, so I use quivers. Sometimes I like to make some propaganda for my guild so I buy globals to broadcast from time to time..
When I know I'm going to a long lanparty, I like to buy repair hammers and potion backpacks to stay at my hunting spot for 10 hours at least.

I could keep going.. what I'm trying to say is: The game is bad if you want it to be bad, I really, really enjoy playing SilkRoad even though some friends couldn't afford a premium card and got fed up with the game, and now they quit. I'd help but if I help one I have to help all of them, there lies the problem
I do however buy silk for a friend from time to time and I used to buy a lot of silk for a friend who quit because he used to pay my premium accounts at Tibia all the time since I was underage.

Dun spend real $$ on the virtual world
its a good game, but i juz play 4 the fun of it to kill time and for entertainment
the companny sux, thats why i dun spend

The only thing that i spend silk on is my monki, helps alot, part from that nothing else i would by with silk

never spend money on a free game...

the only reason to call this game dumb is the server traffic.... but you can solve that problem by buying silk right?

Personally, of that list, the only thing I would get is the grabber pet.

But it's your money. Spend it on what you feel like buying.

unless youve got like the next 3 years to spend, you can't get anywhere in this game without buying silk.

and those who powerlevel to cap, even at cap youll get owned by someone wearing a full suit, premium, silk scrolls, etc...
