Okay. I've had it enough with all you noobs out there that merc 24/7. Im gonna rant.

Im walking in jangan..I see 2 hunters without a trade. So,hell I circle around them and take one of them out. The other one spawns mercs, I snow'd up and put fan storm on, just running around without attacking him...he zerks O_O. Mercs, Sun+7 glavie and zerk O_O. I get back from dw and find his sorry ass crossing the ferry. I snow'd and stormed again and killed him. The guy uses reverse return and the next sec he is on my ass with zerk again (zerk scrolls). Why the hell?

And job wars in general. Why the hell would you need mercs in a job war at the gate? There is certain noobs like SR (For the alps players) that don't go anywhere without their mercs. Once his mercs run out he goes back in safe and waits for refresh -.-'

Im sick of this..isn't there some kind of simple solution against all of this merc shit that is going on?

And btw..I can easily get guild mercs or even union mercs if I wanted. But I barely use any.

Totally agree with you mate, I find it amazingly retarded, the only time I have mercs ready is in a real trade, spawning them just in a fun Thief vs Hunter/Trader war is just stupid as hell.

yes. every time i see a thief, merchant or hunter with mercs, friend, foe or random person, i always call them a noob. always..

I agree to a certain extent, with some players overusing them and never leavin without them which can be annoying.
At the end of the day their part of the game, so nothin really you can do except deal with it.

mercs are useful but some people have no idea when to use them, it usually also destroys jobwars guess those people who use them feel power full when the enemy isn't showing up anymore and after that whine that there are no jobwars

Never seen those myself, but I guess some people need to use those in any situation to compensate for their lack of skill

When I was GM I only used them when we got outnumbered pretty badly.. but yeah, when its like 5 on 5 its really noobish to spawn them..

Few days back it was me against 10-15 hunter/traders, so I was running around with snowshield/fan/shield and 2 hunters summoned mercs (both union leaders)..I mean, come on O_O

Blah Blah Blah...whine whine whine. Mercs are part of the game. Being GM is part of the game for few. So those few should get to use everything offered to them at their convenience. I think in protest I'm going to go train with my mercs spawned at all times for the nxt 24 hrs.

using and abusing are 2 different things.
since botting has become a part of the game does this say you are botting?

Use a unsuited cleric and a lowbe who goes pink name to take out the merc user and try for pk status. Using this tactic keeps the noobs either in safe zone or runnning aorund not able to use the merc effectively.

many time I have pk status mercs users and they havnt relized it. Untill they are killed and have dropped the gear

I agree. Lets hire mercs to dig graves for the thousands of dead mobs that are killed everyday.

in greece the 714 thieves have like 10 unions of 2 guilds each to use union mercs......and they will spawn them on you NO MATTER WHAT.

I can easily be a union/guild master at any time I want.

The point is..why would you spawn mercs+zerk in a 1 v 1 fight? And there is certain people that NEVER EVER go out of safe without their mercs. No matter if there is 1 or 100 thiefs at east dw.

And btw..most of the people that are mercing 24/7 on alps are not the proper guild masters.

Eh, I hate them with a passion too. Just make a guild, level it up and if they use mercs on you, counter them :p

Thiefing on my server sparta is almost impossible. Like this one guild MINH_GIAO, when they do trade runs with there union they get mercs ofcourse and use zerk scrolls but they even bring a euro thats not in a job to rezz them when they die. lol

i am well known for spamming mercs and running in to a group of thifes.. but i dont run away and hide when my mercs are all dead...

if u'd asked him for 1v1, and he agreed, and he still spawned mercs, u'd have something to talk about. if u met him randomly, then he had every right to use those mercs. i don't see the problem here.

When our guild is job warring at dw, we actually try to get merc'd if at all possible

Even if we get caught off gaurd by the initial spawn of mercs, you will have less then two minutes before you and your 10 mercs are wiped out in 15 seconds.

100% agreed here.

Never been high lvl so I never experienced getting owned by mercs :p

If you think using mercs on a 1v1 is fair your a noob. Now if you use them when your out numbered or if the person your fighting is a higher lvl then you then I can see. And the people saying its fair are prolly the same one's that use the mercs and call the person the mercs killed a noob.

its part of the game no doubt about it but should anyone who is starting a job from now on have his own level 5 guild with union just to use mercs in 1on1 situations? since they are part of the game anyway why not abuse them, its you who is paying the money and the gp anyway.

its the situation that mercs are needed that really matters i have seen guild who war fight the other 15against5 and those 15 start using mercs even while those 55 cant get far from safezone. its legit but more things arent forbidden in this game scamming as example.

sure, everyone should make their own lvl 5 guild.

i don't really care what they do with what they're given. they're leaders of high level guilds. they're given that right to use their mercs however they want. why we hatin on them?

not every single guy jobbing will use mercs.

scamming's a part of the game also. it only requires patience and stupidity on the part of the victim

Well with the fortress wars around the corner, we will see less 1 man guilds/unions. Most guilds are merging again and coming under 1 union to prep for the fortress... it might not get rid of mercs totally, but atleast we have less noobs running around with mercs.

Well I completed 17 thief runs today and used mercs on each of them just for you guys ^_^
