Do you remember when you first started playing SilkRoad? Or any other game you liked for that matter..
I find it awesome how the game has this certain touch of *magic* for a while, when you're a noobie to be exact.
Then you look back and hope those times will come again but you know that won't happen.
I understand that feeling towards Tibia which is a game I played for 6 years but... I felt the same way in SilkRoad the other day

Yea.... first time I saw silkroad, was during the 60 cap. I couldn't play myself... I just watched a friend of mine playing on xian.
About playing for myself: When oasis opened, I was there

Same here. I've tried 2Moons, WoW, Rakion, I quit right away. SRO 4 life. Other than that I dont like MMORPGS.

Uhm well some games do. But when you play a FPS for the first time you don't really like it... Atleast I didn't when I first started playing Counterstrike (1.6). But then after playing for a while and n00b servers you get better and better, and then you can start playing in the decent pubs and even begin to start playing wars
SpoT^
Pretty Off topic xD

yes, i felt overwhelmed by it....but then i got pissed off cuz it took me 1 hour to figure out how to attack

(for real)...that day i was really happy and stayed up till about 2:00 am.
i totally freaked out when i saw a giant tiger for the first time. and my friends (who were noobs too) didnt believe me when i told them about it.
i also miss the times when i used to get lost in sro. they should add mist to the game.and i want my rain back

My very first character was pretty close to 50% STR 50% INT, and I only made it to level 24, but it didn't matter then. I was too much into the game itself. The character design, the environment, everything.....I just thought it was amazing. And I will admit, in terms of graphics, I haven't seen any other F2P that looks quite as good. I thought it was cool just to walk around in 3rd degree protectors. And people were much friendlier. That was all part of the "magic" for me.

My first days on silkroad were with two of my buddies. We had our nice Bluetooths and called each other and stayed on the line for like 3 hours so we can "play the game together" I admit it was really fun times .

it was fantastic.
my first mmorpg was Rs, then it allready felt like magic, even though the low graphs, and stuff...
everything looked new to me, I had to know everything. then I started reading the game guides and I even enjoyed reading them more then playing....
then I started SRO, cuz a friend told m it looks way better.
So, I started playing and couldn't believe my eyes... the skills, the moves, the graphics, the sounds and it even had a sky. There were days andnights, weather changes and everything, and the hits look way better too... I fell in love with the game. then I stopped playing allof the sudden (can't remember why) and started RS again.
after too many noob accounts in my tries of getting that feeling again I had with my best account then days, Iceangel 88. But I couldn't it was too sad, then I thought, I was allways listening music while playing RS, so I inmedietly downloaded music from the time of Jessica Simpsons' These Boots Are Made For Walking, which I met a friend of mine on there who also loved that song, and Kelly Clarkson's Since You've Been Gone. but it didn't work. so I quitted again, because I lost the touch of it, and started reading again on the internet.
Last summer I came across SRO again, started a new account *couldn't remember my first one's pass* and started playing again. that was hard, because I couldn't remember how to shut down the game again. but I learnt everything, and I learnt how to play.
I was a normal player, who only learnt about the skills when I was allready past level 10 and I saw this girl using fire and lightning, so I ased ow she did that...
I had never used force before in my life, but I couldn't go without anymore especially with those pesky Yeoha's... So, I had all kind of skills at the same time, because I had never even touched my skill points, an never knew what that yellow bar was for. so, I used it for Ice, Fire, Light, Force, and Heuksal *I was that bright at the time, though*
then I learned my self more about it, and that way I tought other people about it....

I use to be at manyang and be like wow this map is small but when i reached lvl 10 i went off course ( was going to stone lions) And figured out that themap really was bigger.

When I first started playing SRO, I was amazed by the size of the map and by the variety of monsters. Everything was new to me and I didn't yet notice that the map was way too large too run over. First the graphics were astounishing and i loved SRO, but now i find the gameplay not to be "new" anymore and you get used to the graphics pretty fast.
I would give a lot to feel the feeling agian which i got at my first X - mas event.
