This should be in character & skill for future reference. You should use garment because it gives your mana shield incredible tanking abilities, and shame on you if you can't kill someone in 2 minutes as a spear nuker.

Isn't it easier to say: 'I'm a 87% magical balance hybrid' :S I had to use a calc to figure out what you are.. I might just be a noob idk.

Anyways use protector unless you plan on getting sun garms >_>

if you aer heuskal / light / ice , than use garments. Its better for grinding on "onehitcreeps". if you are heuskal / fire / light, than use protector cause of the missing phy's def increase of the ice

I just wanted to add, because it seems important, that even STR chars do major magic damage. It is literally the difference that an imbue adds to their damage, and I have yet to see any player not using an imbue for PvP, because as we all know, the gains are too great. Garment protects very well against this.

Additionally, garment gives you 20% moving speed increase, and 20% mana reduce - that's the thing that lets you tank like a god with mana shield, and since you're a nuker, I can only presume that you kill the monsters you grind on before they get to you, eliminating the need for armor. If you're a smart nuker, and it looks like you are because of your spear, you'll also be training on shamans for that very reason =D That, and they like dropping sosun a lot.

All-in-all, it's the better choice, even though the masses haven't realized it yet.

It's a thin line.. Your mag % is basically your damage, the more you have, the more you do. I say just try your mag %'s as you go along, and fine the best one for your playing style.. Start with the lowest, and work your way up. Make sure that you have enough levels to work through the different %'s, just test them all out PvPing and PvMing, I'd say starting at no earlier than 52. Until then, stay pure int, in any case you won't be in the degrees before 7 for very long.

Personally, I'm a s/s nuker because I think there are too many benefits to s/s to not use it.. I've found 93% to be a great mag balance for them.. You sacrifice 1/10 of your damage for a great amount of hp and phy def.

For every single reason I've stated in this thread, I'm only ever going to use garment, unless a major threat to it is released. Lingerie maybe.

In the end, everything is up to you. Keep in mind that a guide is merely a tool to help you on your way, not to tell you what to do.
