Mkarru, first time I agree with a post of his long time.

You all who are excited are complete hypocrites. You whine about bots, how screwed up the economy is, the gold bots, gold buying and the CCFing.

Joymax anounces Castle Seige and you start kissing ass.

1). Bots. If you don't fix bots it ruins any update that Joymax will release. Already we see in the Honor Point system only hardcore botters have Honor Suns and have the top Honor Point rankings, aka Honor Buffs.

2). Gold Buying. Destroys the economy. Goldy buyers will always have the best gear, gears that are usually unattainable by playing Legit
- Those of you who say making money is easy. MORONS, you can't make that much if it weren't for the gold buyers inflating the enconomy

3). Bot/Gold Union will win. Bots are majority of the server by 80%. Yes legits ban together with your +5 weapons and fight 80% of the server with their Suns and+7 +9 +11. Yeah that sounds awsome. Well legtis we have euros, we have strategy.
- Right botters are stupid. They don't know your strategy or have euros.
- Get real, this is SRO, its not game that requires intelligence.

4). Taxes. Taxes on everything. You think pots are expensive now? Yeah, wait until you have to pay 20% tax on pots. Repair weapons. When you buy gears. When you buy trade goods.
- This 20% of your gold will go to the Botters / Gold Buying Unions
If Castle Seige does what I think it will do to SRO, I think its the end of SRO for anyone who wants to play competitively.

Botting is not playing competitively, to be competitive you actually have to play the game as it was intended within the set guide lines. Competition requires players to abide by the same rules and regulation.

The fortress building and npc upgrades cost money too. If you dont use the money from the taxes for upgrading, Im sure you wont hold a fortress for long.

Well im glad its the fortress update this Christmas instead of the 90 cap. But like you said bots are most likely going to own the castle war with them getting 20% of the tax they will eventually take over the whole server and the legits.

I hope Joymax do a huge bot ban list before the update does come. :banghead:

Oddly enough, Im not that excited either. I would rather get the 90 cap first, make all the 8D sun useless, then release castle seige. But at least JM is doing something. Gotta give them credit for diverting our attention from a major hacking exploit to an update that people who were hacked cant even enjoy.

Taxes dont sound pretty... but no one knows for sure how that will play out... not even people in kSRO. So only time will tell. I do look forward to our guild controlling hotan or something though.

True. But you can change your schedule for jobbing when you know what times certain people job or are active.

ATM, grinding is not too bad, most of the bots are in share parties anyways, join one and you won't get ksed.

Buying gears, I don't really do that. I make my own gears.

Sometimes I have to buy elixirs but I don't find the prices of the elixirs to be that inflated. I cannot afford Suns but that's ok with me. To be Suns = People will try to scam your gears and your account.

But Castle Seige will affect me. Its only on certain times, who know those bots will show up.

The taxes from what I understand can only be fixed on Saturday. After that certain time it can't be changed. So the tax remains in effect for the rest of the week, but the rate cannot be changed.

BOTTERS AND ACTIVITY

- Botters who say they bot cause they have no time are the biggest liars. From my experience, botters actually play the game far more than legits. They bot whenever they aren't playing. They still play 5-8 hours a day.

- The most active unions and guilds I see are bots. The legit unions and guild are inactive.

- I just recetly joined a fairly old and well known guild InsanePeople. They are nice, but small. Essentially the guild has about 8-10 Active members, Active as in in play once ever 2-3 days.

Nice that they're updating.

But this update only influences level 7x and 8x guys, I think.

The people lower than that level will not get anythign I guess.

Maybe just the taxes.

the whole hacking thing finally made me make up my mind to stay or not stay in this game, i have been playing on someone else account on babel the last couple months watching people get scammed of their gear and account due to a bug joymax still does not want to admit was for me enough to completely understand Joymax

i had hope small things kept me going, even those stupid silk items actually make each of us want to play longer they excite you with fresh things which usually gets boring a week after :roll:

silkroad will always be dominated by goldbuyers and botters you don`t like it then its time to move on. whining about it or at least having the hope things will change is useless.

20% is nothing you already lose 10% (right?) when you stall just make sure you sell your items for 30% more now :banghead:

but i just love all those people who sold their suns who want them back now for almost the double price.

I agree, I expect bots to ruin this as well, not much can be done though so meh, i'm kinda glad the 90 cap isn't coming though since i'm not 80 yet, even though I haven't been lvling lol, but then again 80 or not I wanted a new bow~

I guess I don't really care bout the guild update considering theres like 6 ppl in TE now~ don't even have a union =.=.

its odd seeing the game evolve as it has been. Since the game isnt finished we see whats before and then have to deal with the additions and the like. I am not sure I like where this game is going but thats my opinion. As for this castle seige, its like a new way to entertain the capped players right? doesnt seem to be any other purpose to me, right?

It seems like a way to make the capped or close to capped players heads just a little bit bigger. "Now im capped, farmed, AND I can charge 20% for everything that every noob buys. Stupid noobs." not only will they profit off of every noob, but they will profit off every gold bot in existance. Cause most gold bots buy pots and equips and repairs and arrows. This is also a way to encourage us to use silk items. Cause if we see a bunch of fully farmed botted guilds litterally running the show, who that is legit will desire to pay them to buy pots and such? "pfft 20% more for potions, ill just buy the potion bag from the mall, then they wont get MY gold." its just joymaxes newest scam.
Unless they do SOMETHING to make it balanced so that charicter levels and skills don’t play a part, then I don’t see this being fun for a lot of people.

Im not really complaining, cause I really don’t care. Just stating my views on the new update.

Maybe you guys should make a interserver guild with a name to the effect of "leagueofbitches" or "WeCryAlot". The facts of silkroad are the same today as they were when you started playing, nothing has changed and your continuing to cry.

Here is how it is...
FACT: Bots are a huge percentage of EVERY server

Solution: Grind harder, they may reach 80 faster but that doesnt prevent you from being just as strong when you get there

FACT: Gold Buyers/Sellers inflate the economy

Solution: Gold Buyers make up a much smaller population of these servers than you realize, and inflation in prices go both ways. They buy more they pay more, you sell for more, nothing has changed. Take an econ class, your necessities cost the same, you don't pay more for pots, you do nothing but gain from inflation.

FACT: Bots have massed SOSUN items

Solution: Move to a new server, any server after Hercules was created AFTER the sun drop percentages was lowered to almost nothing. Hercules is 6 months old and there is not a single SoSun weapon

Fact: Joymax only releases updates that effect the top levels

Solution: Truth but what game doesn't? Korean MMOs are based on gaining levels. Thus your level is your achievement they don't reward you for mediocrity only for being exceptional.

Please stop crying guys, you are making the few of us that remain legit sound like a group of pre-suicidal bitches.

So the castle siege deal is supposed to be 300 v 300 or 150 v 150 right? Even if its 300 people total, that's 10% of the server...a server that most likely is already maxed out. I'm willing to bet $1000 that JoyMax schedules the siege wars for Friday or Saturday when the servers are impossible to log into, even with a PT (took me 15 minutes last week with a PT). Basically, if you want to participate in these castle wars, you'll need to stay logged in all week (forcing others to buy PT's) or you'll need to buy a PT yourself. Because there's no way in hell you'll be able to login 15 minutes before a siege event on a Friday night without a PT. Unless JoyMax gives login preference to all the members of the defending guild/union (yeah, right!), this has scam written all over it.

1st, You do realize that with the fortress comes 90 cap as well. Legend 6 in kSRO,which included the fortress gave them 90 cap, so it's a good bet to assume we also get 90 cap at that time, especially when we had confirmation from Gargamel. That means no sosun, not even sostar and with the party system if the bots don't party grind they will be left in the dust. Not to mention that legits can still level faster than bots even without party grinding.

2nd, for at least a week, the bots won't be getting any pimped weapons, and a +3 2nd tier 9D would be as good as sosuns. Party grinding gives you more drops and at a faster rate, so that's a good 2-3 weeks before people actually have the drops to make a good 9D set, and even longer if you want it to be great. Gold means shit when you have nothing to buy with it. I imagine people in the party wouldn't mind sharing the drops so whoever actually needs it gets it, and with the higher drop rates that means legits would get their sets faster.

Sure most of the bots will have enough SP to go 0 gap from 81 to 90.99, but some legits will at least have leftover sp from deleveling 1 mastery to use another, and probably some more sp from farming for the 90 cap.

So why are we excited? Because it's a war that's not safezone based, and strategy is a huge part of it, you can't blindly storm a gate expecting it to break as you approach and hoping your pots can keep you alive as you deliver some "pwnage" to the enemies. It won't work like that. You have sun? Deal with 3 wizards and some odd rogues attacking you at the same time. Having sun won't help you when that glow screams "Attack me" to everyone around. And let's not forget that before you get a complete 9D set you would be getting 1 shot even easier by those bad rogues and wizards with their 2nd tier 9d +3 weapon drops.

Excuse us for being excited for an event that not only levels the playing field, but also allows those high levels to have some fun once in a while, without getting that ruined by safe zones.
