Do we have so many rotten apples here in SRF that it's needed to hide one's name when posting a screenshot?

A bad individual among many good ones, especially one that spoils the group. For example, The unionmates are having problems with Edith -- she's the one rotten apple of the bunch.

Because botters if you are a botter or scammer you are not supposed to be allowed in SRF... but we've seen that rule broken many times, even by those that do not hide their name *cought*Crumpets*cough*

People have their own reasons.

I never bothered editing my information out. I build my char up from the start in an honest way, so I don't see why I should be ashamed of showing my name or stats.

Only reason I could think of is of the whole hacking thing.

Yes i havewondered this myself. i mean if you truelly are a *legit* player then what do you have to hide?? I can understand hp/mp but name?? Whats the point of taking out name ?? Unless your taking screenshots from somewhere elseand saying that there yours

well is nothing to fight/argue about if someone dont want show it's ok . Is not mean they done something illegal for real and say they are rotten apple is little hard word there.

This reminds me of Blackfox....

Typical scenario: you fall out with someone on the forums, they know what server and your char name from screenshots you posted. SO now they know where to come and target you, whether it wud be harassing you or a malicious attempt on your computer or your char in game. This could well come about by making friends, joining your guild, earning your trust and then tryin to rip you off...or worse.
