Sexual Predators

I've seen complains about bots, busy servers, and many other things. But face it, bots will always be here, and most likely the servers will always be busy. The thing that Joymax needs to crack down on is not the botters or the busy servers, it's the sexual predators out there.
Being part of the small female percentage of the population that plays this game, this is a big deal (atleast in my opinion). Just yesterday, I met two male predators (but not all are male), both wanted my email. Their reason? To become better "friends". I personally never give out any personal information, even to many of my friends in this game. Therefore I didn't give them my email and I'm lucky I didn't. Later I found out they were going to send me naked pictures of themselves and if they got my MSN, they were going to show me them doing "Stuff" (I'm sure you can figure out what) through their webcams.
Though many adults play this game, I'd have to say that most of the game's role players are kids. I didn't give them my email, but what if Sally (a 14 year old from Iowa) did?
This game is supposed to be fun, but with many of these "predators" floating around it ruins the enjoyable atmosphere of the game. If I had kids, there is no way I would expose them to this game.
In all the other Mass multiplayer games I have played, there has always been a crackdown on these "predators" as we call them. And even if Joymax may not be able to catch them all, just banning one or two out of the game may save three or four kids from what these "perverts" are planning.
Please crackdown on this, joymax
This is to spread the awareness of things that are happening in this game.
Sorry if there are some grammatical errors, it's late and I didn't have time to double check my work.

I bet those "sexual predators" weren't over the age of 12. and how do they know you're a girl? it's as simple as typing "i'm not a girl" to solve this issue
edit: as for girls not smart enough to realize that..well, nothing you can really do about it.

They were, both were in their 20's, atleast so they say.
And this game is supposed to be fun, why should I pretend to be something I'm not?

My guess is that most people who are involved in things online (IM, games, etc..) are aware of sexual predators and know that they shouldn't meet people IRL or give out e-mails to strangers, so im sure not many people fall for it.

Exactly. A lot of women I know in-game avoid coming to forums such as these where it is publicized that they are female, since they are not ready to lie. Some have female-oriented names, but they are usually strong enough to murder the "predators", or, if the predators are lvl 80, smart enough to get them to give up some cash
Anyway, point is, if it bothers you, encourage girls to change their chars to males and lie low.

Yeah it is true a lot of stuff like this goes on not just on Silkroad or on Online Games in general but it happens all over the world.
So asking Joymax to prevent this is kinda asking the impossible the best thing I can think of is to worn people not 2 share personal info with strangers. Imo Joymax implement some sort of ignore button of some sort, finally they should employ some proper people who we as "customers" can go 2 if we have any problems or bugs w/e.

Thank you!
A mute button would definately be worth it, I think

Well its more a parenting problem, kids should be made aware of the whole predator scenario, and if parents are concerned, they should monitor or limit their child's gameplay, warn them about giving out personal info, email etc.
Real shame these dirty bastards hide in games/chatrooms/whatever you will, but its sadly unavoidable, myself and a few friends had a fun time trying to root out perverts in kids chatrooms, the sheer amount of them 25+ praying on us as "12 year olds" was unreal, we had one guy, who is now facing court, go on cam to one of us, full well knowing we were apparently "12" and got his bits out, unluckily for him we managed too root out his personal information by other means and since he was living in the same country as us, are getting him prosecuted, can't wait to see how it turns out.
Sad when you have to monitor kids activities online because some pervert is trying to get his jollies.

I get the same problem, alot of times they don't even ask if I'm female or not and say vulgar things to me. Then if they are outside of town I usually pk them.

HAY GRL
WANA CYBR?
No seriously, I have like 3 female friends in SRO and they're all pretty cool, but that's all. Even if they're the hottest chicks I've ever seen I wouldn't do anything since it would be l-a-m-e, I mean.. c'mon! there are tons of girls in your school, at the gym, etc.
The only time I felt attracted to someone through the internet was over 4 years ago, a gringa that had family here in my country, but I met her in real life like 5 months later, but other than that no, and in a game? That's just stupid.

Hey, can I have your email? Lets be "friends" hee hee.
lol ;x.
Never having played a female char, I wouldn't really know what thats like, but this is a game after all, if you don't wanna talk to someone you can leave/turn off pm's, its sad but nothing can be done about it, unless Joymax actually starts to care about the quality of the game.

lol + f*cking 1
common sense says don't mention your a girl to someone unless you trust them. If you go around responding to everyone who ask your A/S/L then be prepared to attract some perverts..

Easy for guys to say "HEY IM A GUY LOLOL" so why should women have to hide their gender because some pervert is getting off to the thought of nailing some underage kid?

because sexual predators exist. and no one can change that, not even the awesome peoples at SRF.
also, you don't have to be an idiot when saying you're a guy..as I said a simple "I'm not a girl" would suffice, there's also the ignoring, works like a charm

Not according to your other 2 posts which merely said "hide the fact you are a girl".

psssssh... The best thing to do is just not answer. I just ignore them all after they ask if I am a girl. I say yes and wait to see what they are gonna say. If its even remotely off color, I just dont reply. They eventually stop talking. People who desire attention usually go somewhere else to get it if you dont give it to them.

It isn't joymax's responsibility to ban these people. These people aren't breaking the tos of joymax so its not a ban-able offense, but at the same time its morally upsetting.
You just have to wizen up a bit, you need to realize that these people do exist and that these kind of situations will happen. You then need to find ways to prevent this form happening as much. If you suspect someone is being a "predator" simply ignore them.
