yea so i was running sro and was browsing the web while stalling and it just turned off. when i turn it back on it says

Launch Startup Repair (recommended)
Start Windows Normally

*Launch Startup Repair* says windows is loading files.....
then gets a blue screen with errors, and the error is different sometimes:

Error 1: STOP: c0000221 Unknown Hard Error
\SystemRoot\System32\ntdll.dll

Error 2: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

BAD_POOL_HEADER

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select safe mod.

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x00000019 (0x00000022, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Error 3: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select safe mode.

Ouch. Never let windows fix itself :P

As for a solution, I follow the advice above, and so usually with errors like this, I'd reformat. Use the disk that came with your laptop. If you didn't get one, return the laptop and buy another.

Most likely lost the windows system files in hdd corruption.

You going to need someone who understands it to recover files.
(boot cd>copy files to external hdd or different partition)

Max you can do is full reformat and reinstall windows.

ps.: posted wrong area.

Yeah, go return it. Say you were browsing or something and the pc just powered off, then was stuck at the loading screen permanently. Any manufacturer that doesn't include a recovery CD with every single PC they manufacture isn't worth a damn, let alone reliable should your PC fug up in the future.

Seems to be a hard drive issue: physical damage/data corruption. If the hard drive diagnostic shows any problems, they'll probably have you send in the hard drive to swap for a new one. If not, they might have you check and tighten the hdd cables, then reinstall windows from some hidden recovery partition or some recovery disc.
