rogue's tanking ability

seriously what is the main thing that keeps rogues from tanking? rogues are full str but mine cant tank at all. Not even 3 white mobs with xbow xtreme turned off

is it the light armor? I chose rogue because it could kill and also because it was full str (so it could tank) but its like wizard, just gets murdered by 2 or 3 white mobs

Rogue= Hit and run. Dagger desperate is the total opposite of tanking...

You aren't suppose to be able to tank
With crossbow the point is not to get hit, even without crossbow extreme
With dagger the point also isn't to tank, but to kill

They're basically Pure Str nukers that use melee for nukes :D

And btw dont solo... Im not a rogue but from what I hear you get hit alot if you're using daggers. Get a cleric or 2.

omfg
of rogues truly hit as high as a nuke...then ..heres the comparison

rogue:
high hp (invincible to MOST classes)
low mp but cost of skills lower
nukes hitting hard
hp delay

Nuker:
low hp
high mp
nukes hitting hard
no hp delay

could the rogue.....oh god.....i HAVE to try rogue

so u just now noticed that euros got 15s potion delay?
be happy that we didnt get 25s pot delay as it was on ksro at the begining...

well w/o desperate/xbow xtreme i can tank a lot... 4-5mobs o0 but i dun wear npc stuff...

Rogues should try magic attack monsters...

Both extremes only takes off hp and pdef... not mdef... LoL!

And rogue with cleric sub should be ok...

rogues do the lowest damage at low lvl and worst tanking at low lvl

but at 40++ they start doing good damage and can stand mobs for a few secs

at 60++ damge is amazing and they kill mobs before it even attks them

Well being a rogue(Xbow) at lvl 39 without recovery division I could already tank giants..U gotta play it smart and use Knockback alot,when u get Knockdown skill that too.But most important if you want to tank as a rogue,Get Cleric subclass,When soloing Save bless for giants/party mobs and voila.

u want that tankformula:

[Rogue]Recovery division+Bless+Clerics Permanent HUGE phy def/mag def increases=A Rogue that can tank for shizzle.

Just watch Juey's vids without the cleric tree...Imagine what it would be with the cleric tree...amen..

The cleric light armor passive is for buffs, not directly applied to you nor can you buff yourself and switch weapon without losing the buffs.

I meant glory and favor armor..not the blessing series..w/e Recovery & Bless > Noise & Speed..

...not true

i am lvl 26 rogue. i can stand pretty wel against mobs if im not using dd, xe. I can 2hit a mob with dd before it ever hit's me. i can 1hit a mob with xe. i even once killed a lvl 40 warrior that was wearing the same degree armor and weapons in pvp. if i have trouble with ranged mobs (evil order archers) i first send my dog to distract them and then hit them with my daggers.

wtf are you talking about dude? did you even play or play against or even seen a rogue?
dagger desperate reduce both phy and MAGICAL defence, i dont play with xbow but am pretty sure xbow extreme also reduce mag def like phy def

they need both light armor and cleric rod so they dont work while weilding daggers/xbow

euhm i have a mage and rogue dies much much lesser then a mage tbh.. rogue si pretty good dont die so much.

Actually...

Dagger desperate reduces phy def and mag def.

Crossbow extreme reduces HP and phy def.

I remember they're both different. I can't confirm now which is which, but I know it's something around that context.

Crossbow Extreme is only 40% p. def reduce... but Dagger Desperate is 75% reduce of both p.def and m.def. Which is what makes crossbow rogues better at PvP, especially against nukers. Quite frankly, I think the m.def decrease was missed on CE, or they just didn't include it because of the halfing of the HP.


Rogues Cannot tank simply because they have no shield and the 7 sec pot delay. If you have a good set you are a much better tanker than any of the chinese str ppl that wear protectors or garments, since light armor has more p.def than garments and more of both defenses compared to protectors. With 3 white mobs on you, you can only take 2 rounds of hits before potting, then another 2 rounds after and then, another 2 rounds after you use vigor. By that time, the hp pot is at 2-3 sec delay and you end up dying if you are not moving around to buy some time...I don't see why you would need to tank, but if you want to just sit there and take it get a warrior or something. That's not a very smart strategy imo and you should have realized after killing yourself a few times doing that.
