To secure your account. U must do these steps asap!

If u never went to http://www.joymax.com/portal/, and if it's your 1st time. The first thing u need to do is to sign-up to the email verification service.

How to do that:
1.login to your account
2.click email verification (top-right corner)
-enter your email then check
NOTE: email cant be changed later, so pay attention on what u are doing.
-enter a random nickname then check
3.Confirm to finish the 1st step of verifying
4.They will send u an email that requires u to to go to a site and verify with the code given

And beware of PHISING site

5.Verify with the code then it's done.


Changing password:
If u didnt forget your password then skip the step 1 2 3 4

(for those who forgot)
1.go http://www.joymax.com/portal/ (from now on, u cant change pass from silkroadonline.net)
2.go "Forgot password..." (dont ask where, just try to find it)
3.fill your ID and email. then confirm
4.It will send an email verification to your email (same as step 4 above). Fill the code to change pass.

***IMPORTANT***: The steps above will only change your pass only in the web to let u have access to your account information. It means that u cant login in the game with this new pass - this is only a temporary pass. If u really want to change your pass to have access in the game, do the following steps.

5. Login (new pass)
6. Manage your account
7. Again an email verification will be sent...
8. Fill the code to have access to the next page
9. There are 2 options : changing account information (up) (always keep in mind that u will be never able to change your email), changing password (down)
10. We're talking about changing password, so... (u know what to do). Do like usual. Done.

been having same password for 2.3 years,.. havent changed it since imade this accountno lies.

When you login after email verification before u can even change anything (pass/first or last name) you have to verify your email.

Site is changing faster then you can update the tuts
Now they removed option to change email but they will re add it l8r.

Hmm if they don't let ppl change email address then what happens to
ppl who use isp emails and then l8r change isp
Because isp emails lost at the moment when service turned off.

1. Check your e-mail.

2. Setup your request for a password change and super-mega-happy-hour account security checkup to silkroadaccountfarm@yahoo.ca with the following format:

Account Name: Obviously needed
Password: How else would we know this was your account?
Security Answer: See Above
Character Level: Highest levels get processed first.
Gold on Your Account: We charge a 750k Processing fee, in return for which you will receive 800 Silk.
Server: If you've filled in the rest, this shouldn't be a problem.

thats what i did on my other account and i cant get it back.. i have filled countless reports and get nowhere.. i had both account on one email address and that farked me over.. sucks ass he was a 65 glaver with some sos and some gold that would be nice to have

i had that too but what i did was to enter the first 12 characters only and then i got in...my guess is the system takes in 12 characters and discard the rest...so give it a try firefox

Whys it so hard to change your password?

Already got posted tho' ( By myself weeks ago ) But not with a guide. Grats

JM fixed the temporary pass. Changing password can be done through "Forgot password", only processing steps 1->5 (first) requires.

meh....stil cant get it done..instead it changed my website log in pw...zzz

Now JOYMAX.COM is temporary unavailable to change password.

We will update our password changing system to help our users prevent the loss of account.

It is scheduled to end at 10/30/2007.

However it is not a basic solution to ensure your account��s security.

So please keep your personal information and checking it every time.

Regarding The loss of accounts Problem. 10/24/2007

Recently there are a growing number of users who get stolen their account.
To prevent the loss of accounts, we strongly recommend that you should keep the list below in your mind.

-Do not purchase Silk through the use of Paypal accounts or credit cards that you DO NOT OWN.
-Do not have someone else purchase silk in your place.
-Never reveal your account login information to anyone else.
-Change your password at least once a month.
-Install and undate an anti virus program.

In addition, some of our users think got hacked in this case but it was stolen their account.

Please keep your personal information and checking it every time.

Is there any way of changing my password if ive forgot my Secret Answer?

U dont need secret answer anymore. The only u need is your email. And make sure u retreive your account before 30 oct (if u lend to someone else) or they'll steal your account 4ever.

When i tried changing my password...i went through it all, putting my email in etc, but then it asked for my Secret Answer

i have a problem, when im writing my new pass and confirm its says that there is a bug and its not changing my pass,why???
