What the hell they thinking...

Ok so this is one those thread where you think wat the f...k is going in their mind.
So this dude spamming selling 8th degree astral. When me being a noob PM him when we attempt to do a trade exchange, I asked him put the astral in. Then he started talking "you must trust me" Right then and there I know it's a scam. So I leave. My guildmate told me you cannot trade astral or any silk purchased item.
Sometime I wonder how people get scammed or they just an idiot. I have peeps coming up to me saying "You want a +7, +9 that weapon" and here's their line, follow me, stay at least 20m away and drop your weapon. The infamous line "you must trust me" lol I'm thinking this technique must be working on some idiots before that why they kept using the line over and over again.
Another thing wt.f they thinking is why some peep be selling regular blues item for 999,999,999 and expect peep to buy it. lol Man you just wasting SRO space, I swear I want kick these ba$tard people out so other who actually doing something worthwhile can log on in. What the fu..k they thinking?

There are a lot of young naive people out there who haven't the knoweldge of the developed brain to understand that these kind of scams. Sadly, they fall for such things. Theres not alot we can do about it though.
As far as the whole max gold thing goes, maybe they are trying to get an offer on the weapon. I know you simply said a blue item, but without a pic of what you class a "blue item" as, a blue item could be a fully pimped 8d weapon, in which case setting max gold could be justified. Otherwise just ignore it, whether they char is stalling an item or sitting afk somewhere, it doesn't play much relevance on my behalf.

People stalling regular items for 999m are usually just wanting people to offer for the item at hand, not expecting someone to buy the item.

Here's a prime example of 999,999,999.
I see 999,999,999 in stall network. I cant make an offer unless I find out who's the one stalling it. WHy Joymax doesnt tell who's the sellers are in stallnetwork?

He's waiting for an offer on the set, i fail to see the harm in that, especially since its a higher degree of armor
WHy Joymax doesnt tell who's the sellers are in stallnetwork?
A rather interesting point...

Yea I hate that too. I dont like going to stall to stall anymore since we now have stallnetwork. Last time I check this weapon, I really want it soo bad, I want to make an offer to him, so I spent over 30minutes trying to find who that seller is. I cant find him. While I do alchemy behind defense shop, there he is lol. Man Joymax is a b11ch, what the. fu.k they thinking? lol

first there are some legit people who sell astral, your the noob for thinking it can be placed in a trade window.... everyone even lvl 1's know you cant trade silk items. I know a lot of people who sell astral, you give them your weapon, they buy the astral, melt it onto your weapon and give you the weapon back... Use your common sence, dont trust a lvl 2 doing it... but if they in 8th degree or something and youve seen there name around its probably legit.

true as this may be... I do not suggest giving your weapon to some noob spamming globals... You need to trust them 100% to give it back..

silly you always ask for something valuable in return... something that will be worth keeping incase the person scams you
that way after he puts astrals on yoru weap he can have the thing he gave you back in exchange for your weapon + gold or whatever
ho do you think people buy 1.5 billion weaps??

i suppose, that way, stall network wouldn't lose it's prime purpose, to make buying easier, for a price.
i don't mind the tax really, it puts a premium on it. not having to go around stall to stall is a good thing for me.
