so i officially moved 2 srf, but not completely.
i still troll the official forums with my alias JoyIsMax [not on my real acc, made under different ip]

and well i found this interesting thread.

and apparently people are actually going into thier own server and telling as many people as they know to post in that thread.

i havenet posted in it yet [waiting for at least 500 post]

so i say we chip in.
or at least emulate thier behavior.
and not support bots.

Botters need to go down, but if you think that they are not banning because they buy silk you are mistaken. It is due to the lack of gms and the gameguard loopholes.

Joymax is a company. They exsist to make money, to pay their employees, who have a job to support their families. They are a COMPANY, and therefor making profit is what it is about. Ya, they want people to play sro and buy silk and make more money, but they arent about bend over backwards and cater to your ever whim because something annoys you. The fact remains that most botters buy silk, either because they dont want to be banned, or because they are little kids with mommies cc, or because they just cant lvl fast enough and need a premi and sp ticket and monkey and angel wings and a million globals and reverse returns and 20% scrolls and w/e else their little hearts desire. But many legit players, are casual "this is a fun game" kind of people. They dont spend tons and tons of money on sro like botters do. There are some hardcore legits that DO buy silk, but theres just way too many casual legits who wont pay JM for silk. And therefor, for JM to go banning his customers is pure folly.

If you owned a grocery store, would you lock your customers out of your store? No, your losing money, and therefore have no point in running a business.

Joymax needs money to pay for their employess and expenses of maintaining their game. They arent going to ban paychecks to make the people who DONT buy silk happy.

im sorry if some people dont like this, but its about time u realised it, Joymax is a company, and there is only so much they will do when you dont pay for their service and the "illegals" do...money is money, people want money, everyone does.

botters are NOT customers. 100% of the gold bots dont buy silk. 60%+ of the normal bots dont buy silk. the reason ppl bot to begin with is cuz its cheaper and faster then buying silk/leveling.

if you owned a grocery store, the bots would be the mexicans sitting outside on the sidewalk and harrassing your real customers. yes, occasonaly 1 of them will go into your store to get a 6 pack, but for the most part, they are NOT your real customers.

most of joymax's money comes from the rush of tickets/monkeys when a new server opens. take out bots and that rush would being in 10x more money for joymax.

losing money is not why joymax is not banning bots. joymax does not ban bots because they are lazy, they are stupid, and the U.S office does not want bots gone. that would increase there workload by alot. bots dont whine. bots dont send in reports. bots dont need support. bots stay as far away from GM's as possible and try to make themselves invisible. I know for a fact 1 of the workers at the U.S office bots his/her character. if the legits stop buying silk, joymax will notice. last time that happened, we got euro and we were bot free for 2 weeks.

I really doubt they aren't banning bots cus they buy silk, it seems like a pretty retarded idea.

Btw, banning bots is hardly catering to our whims, its enforcing their own rules.

I have bought silk now and then for tickets and pets and stuff since the item mall came out, and a very close friend helped me get some wings when they came out, personally I haven't bought silk since last Nov, and I don't plan to unless they ban some bots, they certainly aren't gonna go out of business if they ban the bots, they will still make plenty of money, if not it wouldn't be OPTIONAL to pay.

Uhh lol locking ppl out of your grocery store has no relevance to banning botters who buy silk.. Thats like not having thieves arrested because they buy some stuff.. Say botters buy maybe avatars or dmg scrolls, but don't need tickets so, they steal the time of grinding but buy a stick of gum.

goldbots dont buy silk obviously, but most player bots buy tons of silk, and the people who whine about bots are the ones who buy no silk or very little...so for Joymax to ban player bots would be stupid, they would more than likely go bankrupt

lol riiiight. Silkroad bots maybe be the majority of the silk buyers, but if they were banned not every bot that bought silk is just gonna quit, and more legit would play and buy silk, so its not like it would be a complete loss, it wouldn't hurt them.

impossible...they wont ban the bots....again because they want money from those high lvl players....just an immortal / astral 8D cost $4.80...so the more SUN botters there is, JM will be happier since people spend fortunes to +8 +9 their SUNs..

But then again...i just wished they would STOP the bot...they dont need to ban botters but make it so that no bots program will work...because grinding used to be fun....but with all these botters, legit hardcore grinders look like a fool since those bots lvl up 3 times faster...

And being high level used to be a sense of achievement where your 3 months of hardcore grinding paid off....but now if i see any high lvl with SUN...first thing that comes to my mind is "probably a botter"...not respect or WOW

Its funny how this thread is so very different then most of the ones I've read here about banning bots. Usually it ends in a flame war and the topic is quickly locked or removed, other times everyone generally agrees that the reason JM won't ban is because of the silk buying issue and that JM would lose money.

I run a legit guild and union, so when I catch a bot I hear a lot of excuses and believe it or not most of the time its because the person botting can't afford to buy silk for GT or pets, some countries still have no way of being able to pay for silk all together. And of course there are those who only desire to be lvl 80 and continue to buy gold supporting gold bots and town spammers, just so they can instantly gratify their high ego and "pwn all"... silly kids.

Before the euro update, there was a post on the official forums asking a series of questions regarding the games problems to which MD responded to with the following:

I. SERVERS ARE FULL

This is a good thing. Whether the users playing are following the rules or not does not matter, they are playing and keeping the game servers full, which is what we want. We are not all here to judge users based on there actions, but we will moderate and keep users following the rules like always, but we can not just judge all users and ban them day 1 when the servers are full for someone elses convenience. Not everyone can play at once but we are working on improving the server quality and limit constantly, but remember there will always be times when it will be hard to connect or to laggy to play.

V. PLAYER BOTS

We are working on balancing the amount of users taking advantage of Bot programs in game on top of our monthly Bot bans.

VIII. GMs

Our GMs go in game to take care of the Bots and check for in game issues within the community. We are there and working hard for you, sorry we have not been visible as much as users wanted, but hopefully we can change that in the future.

IX. SILK

Silk is a necessity to keep the game running and we will continue to improve the quality of the game to satisfy users who wish to support SRO. Hopefully we can change your mind sometime down the road.

This is just a portion of what was said, the other stuff wasn't really relevant to this topic. I think fly hit the nail on the head.. the GM's are lazy and don't want to bring on any extra work for themselves and why would they if corporate weren't pushing the issue either?

+ gold bots dont buy silk.
and for every bot player there are like 3000000 gold bots
for every normal player there are 300000000000 gold bots.

there are more legits than player bots, BUT
there are more gold bots that legits.

and because of the gold bots people seem 2 believe every1 has 2 bot.

I couldn't even name like 10 legit 7x+ ppl on Xian(not there aren't that many, just most of the ones I knew don't play anymore, and just more bots took their place) but theres tons more of player bots, theres even some of them who have been around botting since the 60 cap lol.

Your right, I don't know all, but I have played for a long time, and seen a lot of legits and a lot of bots, its not hard to tell, and uhh its not like theres any question about it, of course most of em bot, can't really argue that.
