the higher the gap you have, the less exp you get and the more sp you get.
so lvling at a 9gap to 80 would take over a year.
just go 3/4 gap to 80. i did this and didn't have to farm once, just choose skills wisely.

Farming takes the fun out of the game. What you can do though is say..... Set something. I know a guild mate that just basically does not lvl skills untill he reaches a certain lvl. So like say...... What he does is every increments of 10 lvls. He starts from lvl 10 maxing the skill to lvl 10, lvls up without increasing mastery lvls over 10 until he reaches lvl 20. Which really doesnt make sense cuz you wont gain any more sp with over 9 lvl gap. But he does it anyway. So you can do the same. So once you reach lvl 20 you have and should have enough sp to max all your skills to lvl 20, so max that and dont lvl it again till u reach lvl 30.
I think what im going to do is basically do that except with 9 lvl intervals instead of 10. But once I reach lvl 33, ill keep that at lvl 33 and farm at lvl 42 till lvl 50 or something. not so sure yet, but I shouldnt have to worry about sp with both premium and sp ticket.

I planned to farm 200k sp months ago.
So I got that 9 gap and started farming.
At 88k sp I went completely nuts and pretty much the whole guild begged me to stop farming.

Farming is a bore, but also a neccesity depending on your build. Some can get away with having a shitty farmed build. I've seen a fair share of lvl 80s with buffs out of the 60~70 range, while they have their weapon mastery maxed and are running around SSEing people. They don't do bad, but they are also not at their full potential.
Some hints to save on sp farming:
-Lvl only three masteries. Once the 90 cap rolls around, you'll pretty much be stuck with only 3 anyways.
-Don't lvl the following "worthless**" skills.
*Bicheon: Smashing series, Mountain shield, Giant Shield, sword dance series [useful for pulling mobs... but that's about it]
*Heuksai: Annihilating Blade series, Bloody wolf storm, bloody demon storm, Heuksai spear series [although really nice to have...], Chain Spear attack series [grinding=useful, pvp=bleh]
*Pacheon: Black hawk, lightning hawk, Autumn wiind arrow series, mind bow [once again, useful, but not necessary]
*Fire: fire wall series, flame wave series [IF you are pure str], fire combustion series***
*Light: lion shouts****, nukes [IF you are pure str]
*Ice: Cold Wave Arrest series, frost wall series, snow storm series [weak ass nukes, 1 lvl in 50 nuke useful for hunting], snow shield series*****
*Force: Uh... I've never really experimented with force. Ideally, don't get force... The cleric, an actual healer class, will easily out heal you any time of the day. Besides, at the 90 cap, having force severly restricts your choice of other masteries.
-Don't get multiple imbues
-Decide your masteries ahead of time and try to stick to them. Don't skill random masteries because the skills look like fun; it's a waste of sp.
**"Worthless": By worthless, I don't mean truly worthless. Most skills tend to be useful at times, but aren't always worth the sick amounts of sp that you need to max. An example is wolfbite spear series... It's useful at times, but I'd rather use sss or a gsm.
***"Fire Combustion Series": I say this is worthless because A: you can use pills to do the same thing, and B: the range is a joke... 10m? There's 3 enemy types that you'll find cloaking; dagger rogues, xbow rogues, and wizards. Wizards attack well outside of your 10m range, as do xbow rogues. Furthermore, the chance that you DO spot a cloaked dagger rogue within 10 meters of you, he'll still attack you, and you'll probably still end up being f*cked.
****"Lion shouts": Don't max this series... Only get as much as you need. The skill is a "quick" finishing skill. At most you really only need 2 books. Just max the first book and get 1 lvl in the 2nd book. If you are a hunter, 3 books is useful just so you can spam them on nub thief spawn.
***** "Snow shield series": the usefulness of this skill depends on a couple of things: the enemy you are fighting, your build, and your gear. If you are pure str, the higher lvls of mana shield just drain your mana to quickly and you are rendered unable to use your skills. If you are pure int/hybrid int, you wanna watch out. If your enemy dishes out too much dmg, the 50% mana shield will drain all your mana and leaves you useless to use skills. 40% mana shield works well for sword ints, 30% mana shield well for pure str, and 30~40% for other ints.

You can farm with 9 gaps starting 64 inside the DW cave, 2-3 months is enough but if you really want to get that much needed sp b4 90 comes then i'll pray for your eternal rest.
