This should be in another section. But each element has it's abilities, it depends what you liek and what suits you. Though I would go at least 2 elements. Earth for Close Combat, and Lightning or Ice for long range. I'm not completely sure, since I haven't really tried out the Wiz Build.

1: make sure you use a 3 mastery gap
2: max all 4 elements (fire, cold, earth, lightning)
3: why?

fire is your damage dealer

cold is your freezing friend, even makes you invisible!

earth is your second damage dealer, to nuke during fire cooldowns

lightning is your transportation pet. It also deals fear which is very usefull.
4: Use a subclass! Cleric (party) or Bard (solo) preferred!

i have the best build i suggest you to do it like this.
Up fire, Cold & Earth to the max, No gap.
Fire for damage deal, Cold for second damage&Freeze , when fire is reloading,
Earth for multiple attack (2 or more)
Then uplightning spirit to 7 and add teleport add lvl 30
(I also have Moving march lvl 2, 30% increase. (Bard @ lv 20 needed.)
(I also have ressurection lv 1, Cleric @ 10.
There are some skills you dont need to add, but thats your're choise.
For example i dont have Fire trap @ the fire skill tree, Because it costs many MP and i barely use it...
Gtrzz
EDIT: you can farm @ lvl 32 at the Closiers & Punishers if you don't have enough SP, just lvl back to 31 @ 0% then up to lvl 33. ( that should be enough)
