Do not be selfish when Power Levelling

Point is, do not be selfish when you are power levelling.
When I powerlevel, I would not hesitate to add low lvls ard me is there is a space to spare.
If I see another high lvl powerlevelling ard me, I would suggest to combine the 2 parties unless if it wouldn't fit.
Because:
1) If they are low lvls and are killing ard me, their kill contributes to the exp gain.
2) If they are low lvls asking for a free ride, their join would give me more mob spawn.
3) If they are pwr lvling ard me combining means that exp gain in the pt would b doubled. Trick is to let the low lvls sit at a spot in between, n high lvl kill on diff spot apart.
Pls do not be selfish =) good for you good for all. Nothing to lose. Except if it affect your exp gain.

Hmm, why don't we rename this game to "
Sit On Your Ass While Someone Presses Buttons For You Online".
It's alright if you want to be powerleveled and you have a friend willing to do it, or if your guild wants to powerlevel you up so you can help them fight as a team, but when there are a bunch of topics on forums about powerleveling strategies and ingame I see people globaling offers to be powerleveled every ten minutes (especially when they are sub-3X) its kind of pathetic.
I guess this is directed more at n00bs that want to be powerleveled than powerlevelers but really, where did the virtues of hard work go off to?

the virtues of hard work show when ppl get lvl 6x and start lvling themselves. before then, hand grinding is a waste.

Really? Its all relative to your point of view. If grinding at sub-60 was a waste, then why doesn't everyone just start at 60? If the only thing you care about is being capped, then sure, go ahead and get powerleveled. If you have already made the 0-60 run solo on another character, be my guest. You've already experienced 0-60 firsthand. But when newbs come to this game and all they see is more seasoned players powerleveling, what are they going to choose to do themselves? All we'll end up with is a bunch of level 60 newbs that don't know a thing about the game.
It's not just that. Will these people who have only been powerleveled ever bother to have a laugh at the poor translations of quests? Will they ever explore the mountains around Jangan? Will they ever experience the joy that comes with each new skill and degree they achieve? Will they ever stop to smell the roses? No, because by the time they are done letting someone else play the game for them they will be sitting there in Taklamakan with no idea what to do with their character, no stories of exploration to tell and no screenshots to show.
I guess what I'm getting at is that powerleveling is all fine and dandy for experienced players who have been playing this game for the past two years. But I think that those new players coming in should at least make the run from 1-60 for themselves before they get on another character and let someone powerlevel them.

u'r right, it's all relative. if a noob gets plvled 1-60 and skips all that jazz, he's more than welcome to join in the pvp and jobbing that comes along with being high lvl. however, he'll have no clue about nething. he'll have to learn the game again, the hard way.
stories of exploration and screenshots of rags to riches are fine, but times like that are over. sro will never be a whole new world for noobs to explore. they'll see capped suns and feel the need to reach that ASAP, and they'll see bots prancing around, and it'll be like a slap in the face for noobies.
truth is, new players will not experience the same things that the older generation of players have experienced.

Umm, I will be selfish if I want to be. If I am helping out my guildmates or my academy guys, and only a few of htem want to pwrlvl at a time, I'm going to do it. Guild comes before random noobs. Why keep the party low? Because then more exp goes to each party member. Stop trying to sound like Mother Teresa

Newbie players are perfectly capable of playing their character themselves, exploring the lands of jangan, enjoying the feeling of getting a new degree weapon, new skills... without being power leveled. Even in today's SRO world that's full of bots and power leveling 8-man parties all over the map KSing everyone in sight. It's still possible. This game isn't (and shouldn't be) a race to cap.

This game is not hard.
This game is a grind requiring ZERO skill.
The only difference between a 'seasoned player' and a nub in SRO is that the seasoned player knows more facts pertaining to SRO. SRO is only a sequence of the correct buttons being pushed, and many sequences are correct lol.
A person could become a seasoned player in a day just coming here and reading a couple guides...
Im not debating the quality of the game, etc. I enjoy it as it is but I do realize it's one of the most pointless games Ive ever played. I am just saying that using a persons experience within the SRO world as a gauge for whether or not it's "acceptable" for them to be PL'd as some kind of nub prevention protocol is ridiculous. I refer back to my original two statements.

I can level twice as fast as my friend, who is a nuker of my level, being a STR glaive, me playing less then him.
I just press the buttons in the right order
And it DOES require skill. Skill saves you time in this game.

I'll second that. There definitely is some skill in this game. When I first started, and got enough money for a wolf, I was constantly feeding her grass of life until I learned that I could use transport recovery pots. Then later I learned to use my AoE attacks to pull mobs off my wolf if she was getting too low HP (to save some recovery kits).
I used to sit a lot to regain HP/MP until I learned about auto pots.
Through time and experience, I got better at learning what skills are better to use in certain situations during a grind. Back off the party champ I'm fighting and KD the 3 mobs that are pounding on my wolf for example.
People who power level up to a high level and then start actually playing their character are the types that (when they start doing a trade run) won't know where to go. They'll just follow a friend, or follow known paths and then cry when they get popped. They're the type that will finally hit lvl 70 and then PM me asking "how do I get off my horse?".
There are a lot of things you can learn about this game that just can't be learned by sitting on a rudolph from lvl 1 to 60.

One thing im seeing alot is that while ppl with high lvl chinese chars powerlvling a euro to 6x/7x have enough cash from their previous char to equip it, there are alot of new players who spend what little money they have to get pl'd and cant even afford npc sets let alone pimped gear.
Thats one thing gettin pl'd cant provide that handgrinding does is the drops and cash along the way that allow you to get decent gear. Of course these ppl could turn to gold sites but really if your gonna do that why not just bot to start with since your not interested in lvling yourself
@ Stress---> Your friend either is new to the game or you have way better gear then them. No str glaiver can lvl as fast as a nuker let alone 2x as fast in less time. You talk about skill and try and apply it to grinding...lol! Anyone within 10 min at a mob for the first time knows the mobs hp and what moves you need to do to do that much damage. Grinding in SRO is a mindless session of pressing several keys repeatedly while trying to avoid carpol tunnel and dieing of sheer boredom.

first off, if you don't like powerleveling then don't do it. its not noob... if i have a high level character and i wanna make more high level characters, you bet i'll powerlevel them...i've played as every chinese build ...if i want to make on for myself i will p'lvl it. As someone already pointed NO SKILL required to do that. I can get my char to 60 and still be pretty damn good at pvp.
@ topic poster... what a silly idea. Why would i add more people to party when i'm leveling someone in my guild...so i level my guildmate slower?

if you understood the party system you'd know that more people in a party gives you more exp per person from party mobs etc.

All of this is facts, not skill, to be designated as skill would mean that joe shmo next to you couldnt do it better, and I think joe can read...so yeah.

Skills can be learned by Joe Shmo. It takes skill to be an electrician, but you can go to college to learn that skill. Just because Joe Shmo can learn how to do it as good as, or better than, I can, doesn't mean they're not skills in themselves.

Some people got easy tips with alchemy to make money or easy +5, or +7, i have no clue how though hehe but i guess the definition of "skill" isnt the same for everyone
