i want to make a character that is best fit for the hunter job when protecting traders and massacre player thieves.

i am thinking about a chinese bow character..but i have no clue how to make one.

should i have my bow guy full int? or full str? wat elements will do the best job?

or if bow is not the best answer to my question, which build do u suggest?

Rogue is great for jobbing killing Player Thieves, but a little hard to be leveled.

Any build with Area of Effect attacks are great too, because you can quickly eliminate the NPC thieves your traders spawn. Bladers with Petal Sword, Glaivers with Ghost Spear and Archers with Explosive arrows and Mind Bow are great for that. Protecting traders is where being a hunter really gets you something, so that must be considered.

Look at the bowman as a character that is between 2 chairs...

He hits as hard as a blader, less then glavier, but he does not have a shield like a blader, you should understand by now.

Sure if you take Cold you will own NPC thiefs but when you run into a Player thief who knows what Universal Pills are you will have a serious problem.

bowman is great for hunter
the speed at which they atk can easily overpwr the speed at which the enemy pots
effectively cancelling out the enemies healing speed

and use FIRE imbue

rogue also works
but my personal favorite type of hunter is the TANKER!
so blader ftw OR euro warrior ftw

although screw aoe/stalling
as a hunter you want to kill your enemy ASAP!

so get a build that can OHKO or 2HKO, b4 getting hit and b4 the enmy can pot(rogue, wizard, nuker or bowman anyone?)

ot: scaglietti do you think all bowmen use ice?

Hunter must be a str char.
Don't know why
blader , glavier or a bow
Rogue won't work for as hunter to protect trades

ok now the problem is which element...i am kinda thinking lightning....fire is only stronger than lightning after u add the dmg caused by the burn ability...

or should i go both? O.o or all even?!

Wouldn't int hybrid s/s be a good choice for hunter? They have a god amount of defense and can still hit pretty good. Plus they have their AoE light nuke and the 3rd fire nuke.

im a high lvl trader and i find the hunters that do best are either pure int OR 2 int:1 str bow. As they have mind flower which is way larger then any other nuke so they can take out thieves way faster. Also 2:1 is nice incase human comes along also it lvls up fast. Euro DO NOT make good hunters.

Id go str fire bow. Khaara and Asyamura on a trade run, with PepsiOne for tanking means my elephant never even gets half way down in life.

stuff fire get ice.

Maybe ice as a secondary, but ice is all def and no offense. Fire is better offensively for a str char and gives some magical def. Ice is all physical def and a str char doesnt really need that as much.

Blader is the ultimate Hunter

4 (3 if under 76) AoE attacks to quickly mob and kill any NPC thieves.

Can't be killed by Player Thieves...although can't kill them either...

Looks the best with a Hunter Card.

i reckon it depends on ur lvl and gear ... bow is only good for the range, meaning you can atk standing close to ur trader at all times ..

i would suggest a bow, since there fun as well. ^^; and yes full str.
