Today I was playing as I was going to join an academy.
And look what I found I find these really pathetic.

Another reason why we are losing the battle against botters.

(I really couldn't care less about my skills,character,etc)

so what? i would do the same thing. i would have botters in my academy, not becuz i support them, but cuz i want them to get to lvl 40 faster so i can get honor points faster too.

It can't be helped. As much as we are against botters, it won't just make them cry and stop playing the game. The only thing we can do is hope for the following.

1. Botters stop botting
2. All plays legitly
3. No more Gold Farmers for better economy
4. JM finds a way to ban all outside programs

Or whatever, all we can do is just not like them. It just can't be helped atm.

Kinda sad. Guardian system was meant to help players, and not to get honor points just for a soh wpn.

i started a new chracter cause i was so frekin bored and cleric friends not on and i joined an academy and the guy said he was going to powerlvl us tommorow because he was leaving his bot ON for 5 hours............

reported him but doubt joymax will do anything

Players don't encourage botters, It's the unrealistic grind.

The whole botting thing is much like people yelling about gas prices. Botters spend money at one point and SRO is about making money! They don't care were they get it, just as long as they do.

Back to yelling about gas prices. I hear this "If we all stop driving for one day, it would fix everything" NOT going to happen.

The only time SRO is going to fix botting is when botters stop buying silk lets face it. Botters in a shorting time span will spend more money on silk because they don't burn out. They just let the computers run and when they need a new weapon they buy the gold, buy the silk and keep playing.

Unlike me who played by hand. I got bored of the grind and guess what. I stop buying silk.

By no means am I saying botting is right way.

But when the day comes we all stop driving and gas prices fall and SRO starts shutting down servers because there is no one playing. Is the same day they will start doing something about it.

They can fix the problem if they want. There are MANY games that you can play that don't have bots. So don't fool yourself into thinking they will fix this problem any time soon.

I played during beta.... We had bots..
I played up till this year... We had bots... More now then ever.
They are still pushing up new servers and guess what... We still have bots...

Get used it.

reading is not the problem but understanding some people views on situations is kinda hard

+1, stop analyzing the community. You aren't going to get anywhere trying to philosophy the beginning of botting, the perpetuation of botting, or going to be able to conceive the end of botting. Everyday we see posts presenting ideas to end botting, comparing it to games like WoW [where botting is just as bad... I played wow for a full year], and bitching about how JM isn't doing anything about it. Guys... botting will be around just like cheating has been around in many other games as well. If the community wants to find ways to cheat, bot, or do whatever else they please, they will... It's that simple.

[Commonly referenced games:
Games that make use of PunkBuster: Good example, AA. Is cheating still present? Yes. Aimhacks, wallhacks, selling of characters... all there.
Games that make use of Detox: Good example, Any Game using the "Source" game engine, like CSS. Is cheating still present? Yes... Aimhacks, wallhacks being most common.
Games owned by Blizzard [cuz obviously they must care about their community...]: Diablo2 [yeah... Blizzard has a serverside anti-cheat app running that they update quite a bit.] and WoW. Cheating present? In D2, bots, maphack, item spawning... still present in the fairly new ladder. In WoW? Gold bots, player bots, gold buying, account selling... all still present...

And finally, Ksro... Uh... go check it out yourself. Gold bots aplenty.

i dont know... i dont agree with botting which is the reason i first quitted sro. but as much as i cant stand seeing bots running around everywhere i know i have to get used to it. theres no point complaining. its not gonna change. I dont really think joymax cares. like someone said, as long as botters still pay they wont do anything about it (im not sure how true this is but it does sound kinda realistic). that being said, would JM really ban a paying botter? the only time i saw someone being banned was when a turk had impersonated a GM and got banned then started spamming on his alt char all this sh.it about the Gm and his mom and bla bla. point is, get used to it, the situation is the same as it was before i quitted and came back and i doubt it will ever change.
to the 139000 whatever guy... i kinda agree with u, u should kinda take advantage of the situation, i mean its enough ure getting high competition from bots, so why not use them to turn the advantage slightly to your favor...

to borat2... i know u kinda have a point, you shouldnt support botters at all really but theyre there and we have to grin and bear it really.
