My friend has never played before and the thing that he started staring at when i was going to make him a char was the One Hander euro sword.

I was wondering what the good things about these weapons are?

They have a shield, so they have massive defense.
I find them the best tankers in game ( great defense and good attacks compared to bladers )

He does'nt know much about nukers and tankers and stuff like that.
He just wants to know if they learn great skills and if they will own stuff like pure INT mages and other builds like rogues.

A lot of the techs for 1h sword are really cool looking, and from what I have seen, can do a lot of damage if used right in pvp. I personally went with 2h sword because it does more damage per hit. I sacrificed the defense of 1h sword, but don't really need it if I kill things in 1 - 2 shots.

But, Wehn you first start the game how much damage will a 1H sword be doing compared to the other weapons hitting around 60 damage on level 1

They start weak, but I've been in groups with high level 1handed Euros and their Quad Stab skill is hugely damaging.

1h has 80% KB skill + shield = amazing tank ability.

1 handed euro got it made they can do all kinds of knock-back skills and easly turn to cleric

1h sword seem boring to me...yawn..

ya, i had a 1 handed guy for a bit, but kinda too slow for my taste. Dual axes are hard core, they got have a good defense passive (still not near as much as a sheild) but they do more dmg, and cause stun, I would like the handeds if they could do knock down or stun
