First off, even though the title sounds like a rant, it is not. This is just something I read in the EULA that was interesting.

Article 1 (Company's Responsibilities)

1. Company shall test to increase stable service and find error/bugs until service closes.

...

3. Company shall repair or recover system errors without delay to provide continuous and stable services, except when the causes of the errors are natural disasters or emergencies.

...

4. Company shall make efforts to convenience to the users in concluding the User Agreement, modifying the terms of use and other procedures and contents related to the User Agreement.

Makes you think.

Oh wow.

7. Company, for situations that the company cannot fully acknowledge that may lead to login delay or user losses because of lag( item loss, experience loss), will not be held responsible.

First of all, Joymax does all of that. So what's this thread meant to make me think? That you're a twelve year-old kid? Yes.

Even if there was a tiny little thing that Joymax could
technically be sued for - it's not going to happen. Kids, wake up or even better - grow up. We're in todays world, stop dreaming. And yes, I know none of you kids actually plan to carry through with any of this nonsense and you're just saying but please stop, it makes you all look plain stupid.

Obviously, you have never even played silkroad.

1. Company shall test to increase stable service and find error/bugs until service closes.

Since when was the last supposed 'test' conducted?

3. Company shall repair or recover system errors without delay to provide continuous and stable services, except when the causes of the errors are natural disasters or emergencies.

Without delay? Ask anyone on this forum about how long the disconnection problem and the ????? problem have been around.

4. Company shall make efforts to convenience to the users in concluding the User Agreement, modifying the terms of use and other procedures and contents related to the User Agreement.

The said User Agreement was modified on march of 06, more than 15 months old.

And why is everyone taking the saying 'sued' so damn seriously? Chillax people.

Don't make a thread "Joymax should be sued"

Make a thread "I sued Joymax"

I still don't see what you could sue JM on, even if they don't totally fulfill those "standards."

I'm going to sue JM because they can't totally stand up to what's "expected" of them....Please, it's a free MMO game, what do you expect, perfection?

I think it's funny people would want to waste tens of thousands of their own money suing a company over a FREE game. Let's say, for the sake of argument, the case goes to trial, and JoyMax loses. what happens then? The loss of revenue directly impacts the game's quality even further.

Seriously, we're all playing a free, engrish-laden MMO. You only have to spend money on premium items... and yet people expect a flawless game. You want a bot and scammer crackdown? Go play WoW or something.

In this world, you get what you pay for.

This wouldnt hold up in court...they do weekly inspections, and fix bugs, enough to hold up their side. So why dont the players hold up theirs?

Why is everyone take the notion of literally 'suing' the company so seriously? I'm just posting this EULA to show the hypocrisy within the company and their lack of dedication to the game as a whole.

That would be thread worthy

But still, its a free game. The only thing you loose is time spent playing it, even that is something no one can coerce you to do <.<

If you are not happy with their terms of agreement, DON'T USE THEIR PRODUCT.

How fast some people are with sueing ... sueing this, sueing that ... how did Homer (S.) say: "If you don't like it, go to Russia!" :P

This has been discussed in the past over and over again.

Global conclusion was that they could be sued without a doubt for not delivering services to persons who pay through item mall.

The thing is:

1. money
2. korean lawyer needed + translator
3. solid evidence

Another 'Lets rebel against Joymax' thread. GG.

I got a suggestion... people should starting posting questions here http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewforum.php?f=29 instead of in the general discussion, theres too much spam threads nowadays and 99.99% has been said before.

I also do not see the point of this, if you don't like the game, don't play it, if you don't like the way the company is managing the game, don't play it, if there are so many problems in your opinion, why do you buy silk?

It's not like Joymax is strapping you down to your chair, making you buy silk, and playing the game, you could always use the Esc button, and play something else.

Bottom line:
Don't like it? Don't play it
Don't like it? Don't pay for it
It's free :D

Oh yeah? Why don't you try suing them then? There's loads of money to make, right? Try calling an attorney... they'll laugh you out to point you'll think even you're stupid.

thank them instead of suing them, without them this forum wouldnt even exist.
