I can spot a bot within say 2-5 seconds.
What's even more annoying now is the gold bots have KS enabled.
Why can't JM have a couple of GM's get on a horse and ride through the whole map and ban whoever they see?
If I were to ride a horse through the whole map I would probably ban at least 50 bots on a one way trip.

Very true,But GM's dont want to waste there time doing that they wont to be monitoring things like if the servers are running properly and stuff.

That's bullshit 2-5 seconds. Players and bots both move the same (apart from when bots frequently stop and start) and they kill the same (unless they frequently are doing the same combination on each monster). Basically you have to watch them for a while before making a firm decision that the player is botting.
You wouldn't be able to spot 50 in one trip, dream on.

Bots are easy to spot and I'd be able to spot more than 50 on one trip.

As I see it you can spot the most bots in these places:
Bandit stronghold
Demon Horses
Scorpions
...
Any other? Oh, by the way, most of them have names like ghkhdfl and such things.

another one of these topics, this forum is stating to sound like the official SRO forums, bunch of kids whining about bots and someone stole my weapon....

and it doesnt take a genius to spot the bots who spamm the towns non stop and ban em but u dont see the gm's doing that do you ? the truth is if jm wanted to solve the bot problem they would have done just like any self respecting mmorpg has done. this is not a question of technicality but of will and sadly jm doesnt have the will or desire to get rid of the bots and untill that day comes we all have to "enjoy" the company of botters. cheers

It's called slow forum mental manipulation.
It means that the more topics that get made concerning bots, the more they appeal to our acceptance of bots and botting.
Off-course not everyone will sway so easily like me,and others like me.
But the Bot discussions have never been this intense and long living.
It's like Ryoko once said: The forum reflects the state of the Game.
But fortunately...we also have a hand in the matter.

Actually.. I think the inability to flame botters in the forums is one of the things that has contributed to the spread of botting. There used to be a serious stigma attached to botting at the 60 cap. I mean if you had an actual SS of someone botting, that was big news then. Those people left the forums and no longer posted, joined clearly defined "bot" guilds like Xian's infamous NIKE or Ducks. The social borders between "us" and "them" were pretty clear. That is no longer the case.
I know WHY it became that way. Retards starting usiing the "YOU BOTTAR!!11!!" cry to flame or inflame arguments and it got outta hand. It was still a better time back then.

Yea it's easy as hell to spot em.
But you don't even really need to spot them, go stand out west gate of hotan for example, you will see bots heading to takla stopping out the gate, turning, going, stoppping, going ect, boting going to kara will do the same thingwithout turning.

Well the euro update has actually made it all the more easier to video them...the ability to rez on the spot with a lvl 1 makes getting to those hard to reach grinding areas a breeze...the only decent sanctuary they have is the DW cave...filming them doing the way-point boogie out of Hotan is also always an option...

That's great, so can pretty much anyone else playing the game. But I hope you aren't falsely accusing those 50 players.
I was talking to my friend today, and he was bitching and moaning cuz someone accused him of botting. I know him well enough to know that he doesn't. You realize that even if you say you can spot a bot from a mile away, the GM's actually are doing a better job than you may think. Banning recklessly would cause troubles, innocent players would become victims of your "OMG BAN THE Farking BOTS THEY RUIN MY GAMING EXPERIENCE" complaints.
The GM's are double and triple checking to make sure they aren't banning players that are actually playing legitimately. Yes, it takes a bit longer, but I rather deal with a slower, more accurate process over a quicker process that causes decent, honest players to lose accounts that they have worked so hard on.

BF, you cant pretend the blahblah doesnt exist. I know you are uncomfortable about ppl talking about blahblah because it general means someone is saying something about you...maybe just avoid blahblah threads.
