Fire wall series

Can anyone tell me how the fire wall series work? Kinda embrassing i still dont know how this thing work at my lvl. LOL!!!I dont understand how the mag aborption works, explain to me what the numbers on that skill do.

Well, all i know about is, is that when you use it, dmg to you is smaller. Many INT's use it in pvp :)

Soo....
Magic absorption is like a percentage. The higher the absorption the higher the percentage of damage is reduced.

For example. Magic absorption 20 is like 20%. so if someone can do 1000 damage, it only does 800 damage and that 800 damage is taken from the wall's hp.

You can't move be knocked down, knocked back, or stunned while wall is up.

I'm not sure about the magic abs # being equal to a percentage (20abs=20%) but you get the idea.

Well, i had the firewall on but my guild member was stil able to knock me down. I dont know why. I have to figure it out. And also what is the hp on there for?

EDIT: When the wall runs out of hp it disappears

I thought you can't get KD'd from standing inside an ice wall instead.

I think it's both wall that work on kd but if someone is using firewall, you cna kd him if you dont use imbue since it wont apply magic damage (havent tested but I think it's the reason)

Nukers appear to use both Ice and Fire wall, but use ice wall more for obvious reasons.

Archers use mainly Fire wall and makes them even more of a Nuker killer.

For a nuker you put it up when in pvp or fighting uniques, mobbed etc.

It gives you an extra set of HP before being attacked. Its like being on a horse.

It increases your mag. absorption--it's like having on extra jewelry that protects from magic attacks. It also gives a lot of HP. But you can't move in it, which is why archers use it a lot.

No it increases nothing. The absorption of the wall is apart.
Image a lvl 80 has 60% mag abs in total. If it adds, then u'll have ~130% mag abs so the mag damage return is 0. Sound unreal.

Ok sence the firewall series absorbs magical absorption , does that mean for nukes ( which are full magic), they are completely absorbed by ur wall?

Yes, even a firewall lvl 1 1000+ HP will save your ass from the suicide skill of cleric that deal 100k+ dmg 8)

Lol, it doesn't go by percent; it goes by raw numbers, just as your jewelry does. The 3rd firewall book adds 57 mag. absorption. It'd be like wearing an extra piece of jewelery with just 57 mag. absorption on it.

Hey, the numbers look nice + if anyone doesn't have the thing on and gets binded (another cleric skill), is not a ranged account and gets hittt, they'll die. Of course, that is a lot of stuff ^^ and taking into account the clerics horrible health (Which they'll have to do any sort of high damage ie, full int) there isn't much of a chance. Lol.

Book 1, lvl 1 fire wall is more than enough for me.

Against euro pure str, they cant kd, kb because of the lack of magic imbue to take down the fire wall.
Because the cooldown time is fairly quick, you can keep reusing the fire wall and tank every other hit from a nuke (when in 1on1).

Very easy, dont consider it too serious. Nothing is impossible to JM because its their game. U cant be KD or KB inside a firewall simply because everything relates to displacement is inhibited inside a wall. So to fix it, they can allow player inside the wall to move in order to make KB KD work. Although, euro cant break down firewall but they can still KB, KD :)

Euro warriors can't deal mag damage but the wall doesn't adsorb phy damage though so the warrior same lvl would just need to hit you 2-3 times and your dead, Any good warror knows they don't have to flip to kill a int, one maddening always does the trick, kd is for me used more on glaiers/bladers/str achers. (I'm assumeing your int)

Wall is only good for archer. Glaiver, blader cant use that coz they are melee. Pure int uses that will just waste of time coz 1 hit from crossbow it's dead. :D

yea its pointless, i just got it cuz i can and it looks better...(3rd) jehehe it takes too long to cast, and once u cast ur immobile...soooo its pretty stupid to actually use it in battle

useless to you maybe, but what is useless to you is another to other ppl. Firewall, useing it agaisn't str is a bad idea but agaisnt ints its a life saver. I have a pure int so I don't really know how a str person would use it but I find it useful, dash-cast-nuke-nuke, fire taking the damage of the first nuke is so helpful. Never use firewall for fighting str though kinda stupid and since I'm like the only one who didn't want to get manashield I do the always helpful kd+stab+stab+switch to spear+and if i feel hes about to die or I have CRITed with me stabs I'd use spin if not I'd sst then spin+dash away if not dead yet+nuke-rinse repeat. I am only lvl54 so do not have sss yet.

well, if they make fire wall movable, they'll have to redo the animation cuz it'll look retarded imo.

Also, i think if it moves, cold wall would be movable too and thus bringing more people using cold wall against euro strs.

I have a feeling if walls become movable, recast time will be longer.
