should i have sold it?

i was just in a euro party samarkand at blood ongs and item and XP auto share were on
surprisingly enough
i just happened to get the european lvl 34 heavy steel greaves SOS item
and another guy in the party wanted it at first saying it was "his" i didnt wanna give it to him knowing what i could sell it for in stall or to NPC
i went to samarkand to check its price, amounting to a pathetic 41,125 gold NPCS weren't an option
the guy offered me 200k then 300k, we settled the deal for 250 k
in my defence for not stalling it for 1,000,000 i hate stalling i dont like the idea of waiting to sell things to people without knowing if people will even be interested in it or will even come to my stall
who knows how long it could have taken to sell? and anyway the item was completely useless to me it was european for one and just footgear, i didnt see its value or worth even if it was SOS
