best mobs to farm sun drop?
like 8d sun blade, sun shield ?

anyways, i heard from some guildies they said snipers is good...

or do 8d sun blade drop from any mob above x level?

I got my 8d sun blade on pacific from snipers. Though I'm sure you could get it on anywhere from penons to shamans. It depends on how easy it is for you to grind there (with so many other players ksing for the kill).

Hunters/Snipers is your best chance apparently.

Also... Is it true SoM is actually kind of rarer 8 degree because the higher Takla mobs will drop 9 degree in future, So SoSun has a higher drop rate than SoM (Not that it would be much of a higher drop rate ) or was someone feeding me just pure lies?

The hypothesis is that in place of getting a 9d sox drop, you get a sosun 8d drop. This becomes more evident when you tally up the sox drops and find that there is a lack of soms in the server. True or not, I dont know, but it is the most probable hypothesis that fits this statistical anomalie at the moment.

Well I'd agree with it I see more 8D Sun than I do SoM

76+ mobs. If the mob was supposed to drop a sos/som/sosun 9d, it will drop a sun 8D

Well as stated by Sylhana the hypothesis on the huge amount of 8d sosun is that, in reality, they are meant to be 9d sos but since the gear only goes up to 8d they turn into the 2nd best thing, which is sosun 8d. So you really need to think what would drop 9d sos rather than what would drop 8d sosun since sos can drop 1 degree higher than the mob your grinding (ex. finding lvl 64 sos gloves off a lvl 54 penon fighter) and the closer the mob lvl is to the next degree the more likely an sos drop will go 1 degree higher.

Anything lvl 69+ should most likely drop 8d sosun.

hunters/snipers, the drop rate me be the same as like mages, but the still give tabs, so stick with hunters/snipers and u wont go broke

I thought mobs dropped weapons only upto the level below them. So technically, penon warriors should be dropping only lvl 52 sos spears. I really do wonder how he managed to get a lvl 64 spear from a lvl 55 mobs.

Doesn't seem to apply to SOX drops. I got level 44 sos light armor shoes from blood ongs (level 33 I think).

Got sos lv 37 prot chest from earth taoist. No rule implied.

I know a couple ppl that have got their sun swords from mages...hopefully i get added to that list someday

Any 8th deg sosun items can be droped from lvl64+ mob. I got my sosun sheild from niya guard. So its all luck!!!

Your best bet is mages or snipers. I got sun earrings from mages.

I got a 8d sosun pro hands, sosun garm head, sosun necklace and 8d sosun spear from the snipers. its a good spot.
