for a pure STR glaiver, will you save more money if you
1. use armor and go fight physical mobs [minimize dmg done physical mobs, less dmg done --> less HP pots used] assuming no need to fight magical mobs
2. MP pots wise - use garment --> 20% less MP consumption

this is for PvE only

depends on your grind style. some love the 1 mob grinding (garments) other gather a large group and armor would be better for them but usually the AFK grinder chooses garment as glaive

Personally I like going armor, and agroing big groups. Freeze, ghost spear, AOE ftw? Not sure if it will save you money though, never tried using garment for the speed/mp bonuses.

i suggest protector actually cuz it has a equal defence against magic and physical it gives you extra speed, more defence then garment so less potions, -10% mp consumption and has more durability. (and it looks better anyway :P )

Just remember guys,

Armour, Protector and Garment, only have their Effects if used as a full suit for the CHINESE players.

Havy Armour, Light Armour and Robe dont have any bonus effects. No speed Increase, and no Mana Reduction

I might be wrong, but I would swear I was outrunning my friend who didn't have the full robe set yet. We were both on low lvl chars with no buffs.

Sorry to burst the bubble Key, but Rizla(A garms user) is outrunning me[I'm a prot user], and I also outrun armor users. Not sure about the MP part

i use full armor when grinding at penon and use garment when grinding at nachal :) why armor at penon because they are phy atk and with armor i have more phy def and i can tank more and safe on hp pots. why garm at nachal because garm gives more mag def and nachal is mag atk mobs thus i take less dmg.

well just my 2 cents... it is depends on your style of grinding mobs tho

Well, armor costs considerably less at higher levels... so, if you really want to squeeze every penny, id say armor and phys mobs. Yes, garment saves mp pots, but armor fits well with glaiver's high phys defense. So at phys mobs with armor you'll save more hp pots, while with garm at mag mobs youll save more mp pots. In the end, the pot cost should be pretty similar.

Myself, id go garment though. you'll want garment at some point anyway, and changing gear may be quite a pain to the pocket. besides, most of higher level mobs are either magical or use both phys and mag. so finding phys.mobs might be tough later on.

If you are planning your farming gear, and are choosing between say penons with armor and sonars with garment, you should also consider the drops... Sonars drop darn nice element materials, which do cost a ton. ;)
