Once you get lvl 4 you get an option where u can have a guild icon. This icon can be chosen by the guild / guild master or w/e This icon is directly next to the guilds name.
The other kind of icon is a union icon. A union can nominate to put up a icon that goes to the left of a guilds icon. This icon appears on everyones guild inside of the union.
I hope that helps.

Lol. Think about it. If they had a list of every single image on the internet sro would be like 5000 GIG xD

you make a bmp file 16x16 pixels and name it guildmark.bmp and place it in your silkroad folder and then and then you use the guildmark scroll you can purchase at the guild organizer and then and then you right click on it and the game will do the rest

.
Hope that helps curb your curiosity for now

Can you get a another Guild Master to buy that scroll for the icon so you don't have to waste the 20000 GP to buy it. Can you trade it?

I wondered this after our Euro guild reached level 4. I can assume that it is the case, because they can be traded, and the GP is taken when its purchased not when its used.

It's the FTP upload path given in Media.pk2. What is more mysterious to me is the nature of the *.crb files, which are only 256 bytes. That means that they are 8-bit. They seem to be lacking a header or color table however.

On most FTP servers you can log in as anonymous with only reading privileges. It's too much of a hassle I guess to edit the user privileges.
And now I present to you the most recent guild mark!
Uploaded today at 11:33. Not sure which clock the FTP server is on.
Anyway, interesting to note is that the palette used for guild marks is indeed the standard Windows 256-color palette. It would seem that for the best color control it would be smart to design your guild mark within the confines of that palette even though Joymax says you must save your mark as a 24-bit BMP (which has no palette).
