Silkroad Online Forums

I use to have Silkroad on my computer, however i had to reformat my hard drive. Then I got on the computer and tried to download the European version. After about 5 hours of downloading it was complete. I tried to open it to install, and it brings up a gray box with black letters that read Please Wait.... After about 1-2 minutes an error box comes up that says this file can be used after the European update. I read someones elses post in here that said to make a new folder on the c drive in program files just for Silkroad. I was wondering if someone could tell me what all of this means and why it has to be downloaded into that folder.[/

Try to download an other silkroad install file. Did you download it from the Official site?

Yes i download it from official site ive had it on computer before the upgrade then deleted it and wanted to start playing again so tried to redownload that worked however it wont install and it gives me that error. I read a post earlier with the same problem he said to try and make a empty silroad folder in the local C drive under program files so im trying it now. But i was just wondering why i would need to do that?

Change your computer date to the current date.
