Ok, this is just a theory:


Since Int have higher damage, usually its faster for them to kill a mob, this have some advantages:

1. less hp pots used because of ranged attack
2. faster killing = more drops including $$


Str tend to be less effective in earning money

1. low mp = more mp pots needed
2. Slower killing due to lower damage
3. based on physical attacks = you need hp pots too



So in Theory an INT based character should be richer than a STR based character, because they can do higher damage with shorter hunting time = more $$$$

really man i dont hunt for gold and im all str but the best way to make money is not hunting

most rich is pure str bow.

huge hp, monsters never get to you, you wear garmet so you barely waste mp, and strongbows so fast now its the most efficient str character when it comes to mobs.

i used to go out huntin with only 50 hp pots each time, and rarely did i ever use more than 20 of those 50.

int+armor+ nukes = 80 billion mp pots.

Actually I agree with you, bow does earn more, according to the stats but they need to spend a lot of money on arrows, I think that's a down side for them. Well arrows doesn't cost much, but it adds up in large sums when you are a full time bower. So I don't know

what? rofl arrows dont cost shit. 5k gold isnt gonna kill ya when you get that much from like 2 champions anyway.

pure int with spear and wearing garm grinding on green mobs

this is the money maker, green mobs=more drops, garm means less mp and faster moving speed, and spear means u can hit harder so u can 1 hit a little easier

Full STR Archer here, i'm with MrFudge, arrows are cheap, the only downgrade its in the inv space side, anyway you don't need lots of pots.

Normally Int chars are rich cuz they got all the sox armour and sox weapons lol...well thats what i see in Persia =P

well u forgot ints use so much mp for their nukes. nukes take up so much mp it will take lots of mp pots to kill 1 mob their lvl

you forgot the people who are friends with the party leader and go afk for hours on end.

Off-topic: Out of all the clerics I've partied up with... only ONE has actually bothered to heal.... WTF?! they just "nuke"... And why doesn't anyone appreciate the job of the tank?!

pure str bow or bow makes more. Im a bower myself, made my char in Odin 5 days ago and now its lvl 37 with 6 lvl gap hehe got to lvl 30 in 3 days hand grind. Stupid windows vista has no bots.


Anyway, ye i started from scratch new to server and no gold but had silk so. I currently have about 12mil on storage just in 5 days from grinding and quest. 6 lvl gap right now with max masteries on fire, light, and pacheon at lvl 31. Planning on farming at bunwangs at lvl 42 and trying to save more gold for som or better bow

Hunting has nothing to do with being rich or not
It's all about knowing the right prices for the items

if you dont grind then you dont get items which= no gold gained

I have to go for STR Bow as being the most cost efficient char to have...
-few if any armor repairs
-depending on how/what you grind, you may never need to even have more then 1 stack of HP pots
-alot of people and gold bots leave arrows around...arrows are fairly abundant
-Garms reduce the mp usage

The biggest cost to an STR bow is a bow, if the bow is good enough they could run around naked and never have any problems...or just where a lvl 1 cloth set..heh

Int dont have to repair anything @ all not even their weapon.

Good point. I made the bulk of my gold not from hunting, but from trading/stalling and alchemy. But I think the focus here is if you go hunting to gain gold, and comparing which builds will be more efficient in doing so.

Its a difficult question for me, coz im originaly stone rich in game, but...
i think, full int bow is better than full str bow.
The average damage output is awesome in general, and you have to worry only about a REALLY good bow. And now, all what you have to do is pull some mobs near you with the bow and then, you start your little nuclear war...
This is how i grind.
Im on Eldorado, come and see Excsajom for example
I can tank more than 8 black scorpions at once and they drop like bugs.
Berserk arrow+shout, repeat.

This is possible only if you got som/sosun set.
If not, your grinding will be real slow compared to som/sun farmers, but still, you will be a better mobslayer than full str bower.
Use garment too... its insane, but NOONE, noone can get to you.

STR get more money. Cuz int need a lot mp pots becouse nukes consume a lot mp. On giants int loses a lot mp/hp pots a lot more than str. Forget it my blader was a lot richer than my int char.

LOL im a lvl 49 Int Hybrid and guess what i survive on? 1.4 Mill!

Bow is the best.

I can 1-shot every mob at huge distances compare to nukers. And best yet, even with the bow already incredible distance, with the new update, you now have the new superfast StrongBow-Craft with the bonus +4m increase on top the upgraded +5m range buff . When you add all the numbers up, you are one heck of a long range KSer. You will practically get a large area to grind all to yourself.

I would go bow but all you do is stand there and pluck a string. The only reason why i play this game is because of the sweet attack skills

they also use less mp coz they hav so much

I am now thinking more on the lines of a hybrid bower

you don't need a lot of mp pots, you don't need a lot of hp pots either

and mobs will never touch you.

= $$$ maker?
