Question regarding Euro weapon Damage

I was using a new character. Got 2 weapons in my hands.
Lvl 1 harb and Lvl 1 warlock Rod.
Stats wise Warlock Rod damage is slightly higher.
My char is lvl 3, no skills or class mastery was leveled.

Heres my question:
I've tried to hit with both weapons. Altho the Warlock Rod has higher damage in its Stat. But the harb hits better in actual dmage. Y?
Harb does average damage of 70 (10 hits average)
Warlock Rod does average damage of 55 (10 hits average)

Any1 knows y?

may have to do with whether you are an str or int build. Dunno much about euro though, so i could just be pulling it out of my ass.

I place all points in INT.
Since both of those class are INT base, i don't think it would make a difference.

uhmm.. probably because Warlocks are made for DoT? Idk. But I might be correct :roll:

. Also, when you do DoT damage, your damage sucks at the beginning, but when it all adds up, you can do a LOT. But too bad it has to take some time for the damage to actually add up.

because warlock rod is a 1hand weapon, so it does less damage anyways, while harp is a 2hand weapon.
