I realize on silkroad that a lot of players spend hours and hours of gaming time trying to work on their character. While that can be admirable, why spend only half a second thinking up the stupid names that flood the environment? Yesterday I spotted at least three different spellings of Arwen in town at the same time!

Other very un-original names ive spotted include.
Lord of the Rings characters (Gandalf being particularly popular)
Popular Comic characters (Not for minor characters like Ice Man or the such, but Spiderman and Superman are pretty popular).

Its bad enough stealing the name, but when you are desperate enough to get the name so that you have to spell it out as S_P_I_D_E_R_MAN that really makes me cry.

yes those annoying nick names with numbers and all the weird symbols are making me alittle bit mad, :p i mean i dont care it what people like i guess but its just stupid :p

Well, I stick with Itonami, for the most part I'm more 'famous' for Itonami though so when i'm under cover I use one of my two alt character names.. sometimes I don't like being asked if i'm ito from greece ect.

I want to throw something at people with names like URN00BLOLOL and so on. Idiots -_-

xxLegolasxx, oxLegolasxo, etc for archers.

A guy in Zeus got the perfect little set up.

His name = iPinch
His wolf = iBite
His squirrel = iSteal

lol... one of my fav names is Pure_Str_Lol . lol hes my friend now to lol.

And when I see a name like "PussyLickr" I just think, 1) the closest this guy has ever been to a pussy was on his birthday and 2) in 10 years (when he's 24), he's gonna look back on this and feel pretty stupid.

Yes! There are so many names that bug me.

Commercial product names, like "Xbox360".
Unoriginal names, like "Legolas" or "Thief".
Build names that don't fit your build, like "SuperBlader" on a S/S nuker.
Build names that do fit your build, like "SuperNuker" on a S/S nuker.
Names that aren't names; "SuperBlader", "Thief", or "Xbox360".
Names in alternate caps, like "SuPeRbLaDeR".
Names in all caps, like "SUPERBLADER".
Names in all caps, with underscores in between, like "S_U_P_E_R_B_L_A_D_E_R".
Names that aren't capitalized, like "superblader".
Names with numbers after them, like "SuperBlader94".
Names with that straight-edge crap, like "xSuperBladerx".
Names with even more stupid straight-edge crap, like "xXSuperBladerXx".
And of course, names like "dghaslkgs".

Pretty much, the only names that I do like are ones that are capitalized, relatively short, unique names that aren't distracting.

Yes, when I saw "Cumwh0re" I tried to imagine the owner of that character spelling the name out vocally in his puberty-ridden voice.

Someone named adjective-animal-number is mocking about names not being creative ... yeah right.

I think everyone can choose what he likes ... I am using this nick for 5 years now and don't feel like changing it. Except for SRO chars maybe.

I just put an _ before the real names of the characters in character selection screen, like Kiske the 2nd euproean chick becomes _Kiske.
there was a guy with the name BTK that annoyed the sh1t outta me, I watch like 5 news reports about that guy.

This may seem racist .. but I really get disturbed by OSMANLI or GOOGLECAFE ya know I mean .. for some reason really bugs me.

Also the NUKERBABY or the names with 'i' in front of them .. so unoriginal .. [ iSteal / iPoke / iGod / iAM / iShit etc etc ... Or the sexual ones like 'Nutsack' 'Sperm' or sexual names in other langyages .. totally annoys me in disgust.
