does snow shield series can be usefull for Str's?

I have it on level 1 , but I cant see any diffrence ;\

is it only for ints?

Sure str can use it, but since you have low mp as it is, you'll be standing there, unable to attack, since your mp is all wasted due to the shield. Even some hybrid nukers run out of mp due to the shield. (using the third book tho, i believe)

If you take mp pot ? how do this work ?

Im str archer and I realized a significant difference in the damage mobs did on me. Without snow shield dark karas did 500+ dmg on me. Damage reduced to 400+ when snow shield was on. My snow shield is only lvl 1.

I have 3 sun defense pieces. Sun chest/shoes/shield.. and I wear garments

With snow shield maxed, I can tank sosun +7 glaivers with ease

I see it that the only way mana shield is useful for an str is to run away ex. a zerker or maybe sun but careful cause you might not have enough mp to ghost walk.

Well im 42 used friends without imbue or skill hit about 990 on me, with the shield it hit me with about 889

I think he is a Pure Int, I see him sometimes with a sword.

Anyone actually use this to grind? I hear it only lasts 2 minutes, but takes 3 minutes to recharge.

I use it when I feel I've aggroed way to many mob and that I might die... well over 10 mob as a pure int is kinda dangerous ^^

Yah... So pretty much 1minute downtime... But 2mins is a lot... LoL!

Anyway, you can pop either fan/wall for 15 seconds... So, only 45 seconds of vulnerability. LoL!

I activate the buff, when i am fighting a giant. Just in case I aggro to much.

It seems that it is always recharging when I actually need it.

I haven't tried to pvp with it yet, I keep getting dced.

with the new party system the party mobs like to swarm on me that is when i use this buff and i think you wont run out of mp as long as it is

str only use first book

hybrid only use 2nd or 3rd

4th book only for pure int

this is one of those things where it might be more usefull to you if you dont max it out

my expereinces with it since i have the third book at lvl 1:

there's really a gap between it expiring and using it again. i think it's the only chinese bufff that you can't reuse. all the others, you can use even before it expires.

im level 71 wiith close to almost all NPC gears (just to look hot in armor, lol) i let a sosun glavier hit me without it and without buffs. 11k. i let the glavier hit me with buffs but without snow shield, 11k still. i let her hit me again this time full buffs with snow sheild, 6k. yah, so about 4k was taken by my MP.

yay! you say? not entirely, im a pure int, but i reckon, it puts my MP to a dangerously low level if i fightr someone my level. but still is a nice update for us pure ints! only thing to do is delevel my 43 pacheon masteries and 63 fire masteries. =(

btw, level 0-60 book 3 snow shield, book 3 ice guard buff and maxed ice passive takes about 40k sp. vereee cheap in my books. but i want that 50% reduce lvl 80 will give!

I'm a pure Str Pacheon, I'm low level still but I have book 1 at level 1 and it works fine me. Saved me a few times. I use it as a "oh crap I'm about to die" skill. I aggro'ed 2 giants the other day and survived because of it... The one thing I had to do was set my auto potion up a bit higher because when I'm snow shield my mp drops a lot faster while I'm getting hit. I just carry more mp pots and I'm fine. I love it.

+1 i only use berserker arrow for the second hit incase my lightning transferred.

I don't die from any mobs close to my level, so the skills is useless in PvE for me.

well sorry about the question , now I got the idea of snow shield

it's really helps for str's even tho it's only 20%


let's say nuker hit me 10k dmg
2k of it will go for MP instead of my HP

That's why I've said it many times already.... that STR Nuker Dual Bowman/Glaive is the best build in SRO, repeatedly proven over again and again.

Before the update:
Humongous amount of HP + massive damage inflicted due to massive MP + range advantage = the invincible killing machine

With the new update:
+2079 HP passive
50% damage absorption snow shield buff
+5m range increase buff
5 arrow combo with knockbacks
Lightning Hawk w/1426 Phy Attk. Power
Strongbow-Craft with +4m range incrase and stun and +10 crit increase

What do you get with the new update? The build that kicks way more ass than ever before and makes it even more invicible to being killed.

lol, why the name str nuker?

but at lvl90 cap it would be 90 heuksal, 90 pacheon, 90 ice? Don't know seems like wasted points in glavie mastery while could be invested in like ice or lighting. well, maybe I'm noob, call what you want it, but i still don't get it, it's meant to be pure str char?

Sounds kind of interesting build, too bad I'm stuck with blader and can't kill shit, except if people got really bad gear.

im a pure int s/s and i use the snow shield constantly when i'm grinding, it helps me allthough it is far from maxed due to my 8 gap

cooldown is 55 seconds btw (when it expired offcourse)

Because that's what it is...

STR = lots of HP
Nuker = deals lots of dmg

Snow shield is useful for any build. But you cant max it out for pure str. Its generally called damage reduction for simplicity sake. But its actually damage absorption into MP, or deviation. The damage you receive is still the same, but the damage to your HP is reduced by the % of your snow shield.

If your mp hits zero, the shield is gone. So most pure str dont skill snow shield too high, cause you dont really need to.

purely ints only.

I'm a hybrid int and there are times wen my mp lvls become dangerously low cuz of snow shield, but i just use large or xl mp pots and increase my mp potting to 75% that way I'll pot faster.
