I see why this forum is so popular.
I can't find any way to post a question in the the Official Silkroad Forum
Also this has a lot better forum features.
Does anyone know how.
Thanks

When I try to enter a new post or reply to a message.
I get taken to a page that says
"You can write only as character's name.
Before you write, please make character in game and then change writers' name into character's name.
Click Here to return to the forum"
If I am not logged in I have log in then go to that page

You can create an account to post on the official forums, but you also have to have a character created ingame to post i believe.

I have a character and a account and have been playing.
I cant see where you enter the character's name to be able to post.
I have a problem with the new patch.

Well you should only have to set your character name for the official forum once. However, I've been avoiding posting on the official forums for a while now from back when you could identify people's user IDs by quoting them. Do the official forums still have these or similar issues? I see you at least can't quote people.

they no longer allow quoting, which is smart, but makes referring to someone else's post difficult.
overall they have increased security, but it's still nearly impossible to get anything done on there.

Well maybe it's best that I don't post there anyway, at least not with my main account. It can be hard enough keeping up with SRF alone, let alone adding another forum to keep up with

No I havn't posted once on there, for the fear of lack of security Joymax has on there page. So no hackage to me eh?
This forum is better anyways, rather be here than the offcial forum and I vet alot of other people do. So good job peoples.
Infact the only reason why I go on the forum down there is to read morningdew's posts, and what pissed off cussing posts are saying. There quite funny to read.

A couple things I hate about the official forums:
- no email notifications (or any other indication) that someone replied to a thread you participate in.
- there's about a 10 minute timeout you must wait between each post you make.
Often times (on this forum and the official one) I open a bunch of threads in separate tabs, then read each one and reply to the ones I want to reply to. This works great on SRF, but on the official forum, I have to wait about 10 minutes before replying to another thread.
Also, I come back the next day on the official forums and have to dig through the threads trying to remember what ones I may have responded to to see if someone else responded to me.

SRF

Except that SRF is not an official Silkroad Online forum. Indeed it is better than the official one.

Also the Official Forum has no search button, so you cant look for anything.

That's why I use a second account with completely different credentials. I made a new account with a character on another server so I could post on the official pages if I need to.
