Looks like the bot blocker works

After doing some short Google managed research, I found a few darker forums with what looked to me a lot of botters on. The good news is I saw a lot of posts like the following:
Guys atm (at the momement) none of the bots will connect to SRO i have them and have tried them all. Luckly i have not gotten banned yet while trying so I guess those super smart guys who make these bots will have to work out a new one. So for those of you looking for the new bots just hang around the forums for the week I'm sure you'll see them come up with something.
Ive sifted through quite a lot of posts saying that their bot doesn't work (actually surprises me the sheer amount of different bots out there as well). For me this is wonderful cos we will have Im guessing about two weeks of peace. Ok yes it might only take a few days for hackers to come up with a new bot HOWEVER Europe version should be released by then

The new client will pose even more problems to hackers and even if they do come up for a bot there as well... I will at least enjoy a bot free atmosphere for a few weeks
The downside of my research that it is confirmed that most botters were not banned. The update I have labeled is a bot BLOCKER and not a bot banner.
I havnt logged into SRO since the update, but I trust that the botcount has been brought down correct? Also PLEASE dont tell me they havnt released another bloody bot so friggen soon

Well there's always a chance they may not put 100% effort into getting it up and running again since euro is just a few days away, and since its logical to assume euro will get the same anti-bot update that we just received (given it's version number).
I'll enjoy what peace I can...more interested in getting my bard then really grinding for anything other then money to invest...

If you had looked at that site more closely you would have seen someone is preparing to release an altered client this evening.

For anyone who has been playing SRO for the past 3-6 months.. you should know by now, after every patch, every update, every bot ban etc etc.. has only relieved the situation temporarily. Bots = Cancer.. no cure

Well there's always trying to flood the bot servers with those "request" thingies that they use...Idunno what the term for it is...but if its like any other server it may possible to bring it down for a time...

Bots = Cancer
+1
@BuddahBless
Yes I did notice, but Im trying to take the optimistic approach; dont count your chickens before they hatch. Ill only worry when a new bot is released, and not in development.
Also note, a LOT of botter players are going to be looking for new bots. Some of these players may download fake bots which will infect their computers

(btw if you were to make a fake-bot, now would be the time to do it in theory).
