Inspection Notice Regarding Massive Bot Punishment 7/19/2007
Hello. This is Silkroad Online.

All servers will be undergoing extra server inspection regarding the massive bot punishment.

Abnormal client (ex: Hacking client with unnatural data) is not accessable after the inspection and will be punished strongly if one tries to access with such a client.

Please re-setup the normal client whoever uses the abnormal client and we recommend you not to use illegal program such as bot program right away.

Thankyou.

Inspection Period : 2007/7/20 11:00~12:30 Silkroad Standard Time (1 hour 30 minute duration)

And people were saying there wasnt gonna be a bot ban before Europe was released lol

Honestly if I was Joymax...I would have done this without notice. Catch every botter offguard and ban them all to hell lol.
But I guess they are giving them a chance to come clean, also they want people to keep playing and buying silk and hope previous botters that will have no choice to be legit keep buying silk. All business strategy, cant blame em.

"right away" meaning to stop using illegal programs such as bot programs immediately.

I'm assuming they already know who they're going to ban.

Lol, they are warning people before hand. =\
Why can't they just do it.

I'm going to put my original media.pk2 back now just in case they want to ban for having 9th degree armor.

Arent you glad that they gave a warning? jus in case they goin ban for the pk2 edit?

Just to be sure, "Altering Client" doenst include renaming the ScreenShot folder and makin a new one rite?
My ss folder was really huge and took too long to search thru pics, so I renamed it each time it got full and made a new screenshot folder.

I guess it would depend on how their detection works. If they detect extra stuff that doesn't belong, like a Screenshots2 folder, then maybe it's better to be safe and store the old screenshots in %userprofile%\My Documents\My Pictures or something, assuming you're running Windows, or $HOME/SilkroadScreenshots/ or something in Linux.

Since this might also apply to PK2 editing, there may be something to be said in favor of this advance warning. We shall see if the bot situation improves after this update.

You think this goes for pk2 edit as well? I think people might wanna undo their pk2 edits untill after the expansion is released.
