all scammers really do is test the common sense of a person...if you get scammed, you lack "common sense"

I had a scammer try telling me that they could dupe my som bow, And granted it was a well though out scam.
-He had me go to back of Jangan temple, then he had me join his party "which of course was item share" and then he ran back to the front and got on the tall wall next to me and told me that if he is doing Fire shield at same time that I drop my SOM bow that it will get duped so, I went along with it "this is the funny part" and soon as he said go I droped another junk lvl 16 bow I was gonna npc and he got it. He then forgets to look in his inv. and calls me a noob and that I got scammed I just laughed and said look again.

hahaha 2 funny PRICELESS!!! at that. Yea, he did the same party thing and i saw the auto share immedietly so i was like wow how obvious haha.... i was thinking doing that too but my other bows were in the storage and i wanted to make him look stupid so i couldn't do anything too obvious of a experienced player. and right after this scam i had another scammer this one did the let me try ur bow for just 1 min :? (I'm like honestly did this guy really think that would work) scammers don't even try to be creative anymore tisk tisk tisk... :banghead: :banghead: hahahaha

hhaha, lol.

another thing you can do, is when they trade it, ask for say, 100k to make sure, and theyll usually give it, cos the sos is worth more that 100k. then put the sos into trade, but switch it to a regular item of the same type, and click accept ^_^, they fall for it most of the time.

Why bother to message the guy again? Easier just to ignore everyone and go about your business. Can't have a scammer without a stupid/greedy victim so....Gratz?? On not falling for it but having a long pointless convo with the guy to post it on a forum. >.>

.... Well the point was just to show the new players that don't know 1 way that a scammer go's about there actions, so if they ever encounter this bs they will know right away with out a doubt its a scam(read my first post).... and i think that a lot of ppl here have contributed and showed other ways scammers have approched them....However seems u didn't see this thread like everyone else did and simply decided to be the pessimist. Either way I don't much care thats your prerogative, you could have just as easily kept this post to yourself. So sit back and look again, Who's post here is really pointless.

First post doesn't show much of anything besides an old so called scam, which was you bringing back up what ever happened in the first part before DC. If new players wanted info on this sort of stuff they could use the search function.

And the "hahahaha reported ^^"? Even if you did report him nothing will happen. Says nothing in the Operation Policy about scams or along those lines. Staff won't get involved with user disputes.

I'd rather not keep it to myself since it's pretty funny/tiresome seeing tons of scammer/hacked threads which are all the same or just showing off how you "caught" a person who tried and failed to scam you/someone.

Common sense will keep you somewhat safe. Got none? Well then stop/don't be greedy/impatient. Some people have spammed the scammers chat box to prove what? When they could have just simply ignored their own chat which is pretty simple.

You get scammed it's your own fault, you don't good for you. Another thread on the list.

Really? you still don't see it??? damnit... hmm... thats odd i swore i put the noob warning reason at the end of my first post. Anyhow whether they can use the search function or not is a irrelevant point here, Because no matter what now atleast a few of the new guys/girls will see this(even if its just for a day or two)atleast it would of helped the few that it did. As for the reporting issue I didn't report him i said that to try and get a response( again, in the first post i swore i said i was trying to have fun with this one). I also said i get atleast 3 of these scams a day didn't I? how bothersome would it be if i actually reported all of them.... plus I think we all have given up on JM's so called security. I do some what agree with you about avoiding these scams being simple common sense though, but at the same time look how many ppl on sro get scammed. You yourself said your tired of seing these threads correct? Also look how much ppl claim to making of scaming, so this means for the most part SRO is filled with fools that are that dumb? (haha that made me laugh, ok don't answer that one). Whatever the case, this thread has obvious purpose, and the fact still remains if this topic is so tiresome as you say just overlook it(see the light lol  ) instead of participating in it.

Oh, i just had a thought........ Is this ruining some kind of business you have going on??????? lol j/k j/k, relax.
