Supposedly the servers will be bot free for a day or 2 after the euro update, as none of the bot programs will be able to work with the new client, new areas and new character class. I cant post the source b/c this topic will simply get deleted. But it makes sense that this will happen...should be nice to grind goldbot free for a few days.

You got this from SRT? Servers may be bot-free for a short while, but they'll find a way around it.

You know what else would be really nice? If they upgrade the games security with the Euro patch.

They won't necessarily have to learn the new classes right away because China will still be around... there's no evidence to suggest bots are going to go away anytime in the near future.

Lol gameguard, I used to hex edit with Cheat Engine in PSO after bypassing gameguard.

Having the game bot free for a day or two would be very very nice! I'll be hoping for it.

after i read the topic name, i rubbed my eyes for a while, since i couldnt beleive it. I think i dreamt of a botfree sro once, filled with bacon and 100% legits, an Indian race (think south asian) and super good graphics (think DX10). Altho in that dream i was lvl 150 while we were @ lvl 70 cap (O.o) i could pwn GMS, and i had lvl 150 all 7 trees and a full sun +255 full blue set

i know gamegaurd doesnt work and when it does, it wont do shit

I can pwn any GMs... I sent challenges all the GMs thru the bug report but no one responded

This is not a supposed thing. It happens with every patch or so. Has for nearly the last two years. The day euro opens all the packed grind spots will be so empty it is scary. After the last little patch I went up to the niya guards to train and usually it is shoulder to shoulder. I literally had to walk quite a while before I saw someone else. And when I said hi something funny happened. They replied. We discussed ksing eachother etc because all this space felt wrong. But then decided against it because we knew that by mid afternoon the next day the bots would slowly re-appear. So we decided to just go back to our lonely respective spots. I went to mages for a bit but got raped by 2 giants, 3 champs, and 2 regular ones as there were no bots there to thin the population one bit.

On the topic of gameguard I hear that the files in the installer are updated and larger. As well as the possibility they might be running something new server side as a bot detection service. Lets see them hex edit or soft mod around that. They will find ways around it but oh well.

Why can't they alter the client every day or something like that, so then it would be nearly impossible for botters to keep up.

dude in my dream i was flying on the back of a rudolph i got from the xmas event and i was using Flame wave: Hydrogen bomb (lvl 150 fire nuke :p). it killed evry1 in town in 1 hit! and then they all started 2 call me a botter, since whenever som1 owns u in pvp, u call em a botter .
and then, all of the gms came @ me, and we sat down and had tea, and discussed harry potter. (randomness ftw!!!!)

i heard somewhere sro might get Xtrap... but who knows... JM is so cheap they turned gamegaurd off lol

LOL I've had the same type of convos like that too...after updates, etc. You don't find out if it's a real player or not until you ks them. Then you've got to have the 'omg where are all the bots?' convo & finally get back to your grinding spot. One of the only real discussions with a stranger in grinding territory these days (other than cursing those sun spear ks'ers). Too bad there's not more moments like that....being bot free....
