I've seen it a 1000 times, but I've never noticed this:
Cannot connect due to server traffic...
then, Disconnect from the server? o.O
How the **** can we disconnect if we can't connect?

launch client, splash screen checks for updates, click start, connects to server selection and login screen (seperate server) choose server, enter details, enter image verification, play server full, can't connect due to server traffic, join the back of the queue (disconnects from login server)
rinse, repeat, tell JM to f-off, repeat, login success

use this if you're willing to risk losing all your gaming time to some jerk.
note i said 'willing to risk' it's a chance, not a guarantee

I have always hated that lol, there is no need for it, its there to piss you off and make it harder and for you to take longer to try logging in... that is unless of course.. you have a premium lol.
no no no, i mean: How can you disconnect something if it isn't connected?
Its just wrong:S it must be something like: Sorry server is full, try again later...

That doesn't make sense.
I believe what happens is, you open the SRO client. It connects to a login server and presents you with the login screen. When you put in your ID/password and hit connect, it tries to connect to Venice or whatever server you select. "Cannot connect due to server traffic" would be for the game server (e.g., Venice). The "Disconnected from server" I think is the login server.
I still say the login screen on the SRO client is broken. It shouldn't DC you from the login server after every authentication attempt. It should let you try at least a few times, but not too many to help stop brute force. Either way it shouldn't force the client to close. Maybe just put a 30 second timeout or something after 5 failed attempts....
Missing the good times in SRO...

depends if you knew the said programmer in real life, cuz then if he messed with ya, you could always kill him and his entire family ^_^
i am in no way hinting at Exality *cough*
or the programmer could just put the source up on a mcblog site and let people compile it themselves.
That will also work, but most people don't even know how to compile a program and needs someone to hold their hands and walk them through.
That's their problem. I still say that the author should host it as a bianary/file/w/e it is, and also release the sauce for anyone that cares to do it themselves
