the europe installer is identical to the regular installer.

im not telling how i got the installer to work, but its within rules, as i dint physically edit the code, and it wont install it into the c:\ directory, as the time restriction thing is on the installer, and the final step of the install, which i cant work out how to bypass without editing the installer (which i wont do to stay wthin rules).

so basicly, the installer is the same ^^, i can post pics if you want.

okay, basicly, the images of all the chars and stuff are the same on the background, so i cba to upload all the individual images.

nope. it isnt turning the clock forward.

basicly, some more stuff ive found out from viewing it and code etc:


it checks the silkroad servers for the time check.

it attempts to stop you from viewing the code, but... due to joymax, there defence mechanisms never work, all it does is slow my pc a bit, but it gets past it.

the installer could be edited to work in a few seconds. but.. i dont have a korean keyboard or can read korean, and the date and severl integral code parts are in korean..... >_>

it seems like gameguard may work in euro!!!

the gameguard files are completely different. and bigger in filesize....

D'oh, extract the .exe file into a seperate folder. It'll only extract the setup images.. Did that before

nope, not that ^^, thats the same as opening it in winRAR, lol. but no.


ill give one hint, knowing how to use DOS to its full potential helps.

i dont know.... i havent been able to do much to get this info.

but it seems that the gameguard has been changed, its bigger filesize, and the code is different.

anywhows, i wont be able to reply fer a while, ive gone to play sro.

it's basically going to update every change they have, safe to say by the size it is the new client version.

cant use it yet because the server will detect your files are different from its own, have a retard fit and deny you access ;P

Yep me 2, BUT It was dmn boring because there was nobody arround [at least the server where i was] Well wth, 2 days more.

All files in new client installation. You can see that the only files modified recently are the pk2 and client files... No gameguard...
