uninstalled the game and deleted the remaining silkroad folder first? rebooted, then installed?

Then don't do it? messing with code is sort of a delicate art.

You can screw up an entire install of an OS with a few simple commands if you're being careless.

Why didn't you back up the pk2 so you could replace the screwed up one with the original?

well i did.... i made a copy on the desktop but can u tell me how to use it? and im confused... after i make a copy do i use the copy or the original? i used the original and tried to delete the original, then replace with copy but didnt work hwo u do it?

lol? simply overwrite the edited file with the one you've backupped... not such a big deal... you copy it, edit the original, and overwrite the messed up file with your backup in case you screw something.

If you dont know how to use a backup, then you shouldnt be pk2 editing
