i always thought ice imbue is bad for every build and nobody does it anymore but i made a new char on a new server.. and it seems like all the new chars there like 70% or the lvl 10-20 players are ice imbue.. now whats good about it? and should i know something about it that makes it better at 90 cap maybe?

the only thing that might be good about it is that it freezes and slows down the opponent and saves u hp pots...

If ice imunity(spelling? xD ) is changed so you can be ice immune its good if not its bad.

Most lower lvl people dont know the concept of "build". I remember back in the day when i 1st started playing, i took the ice tree aswell. Frankly because back then, i thought " omg i can freeze people thats awesome". I never had any consideration for what my "build" was.

Though, as previously mentioned, mana shield at cap.

I think a lot of new players are thinking pve which is where it all starts so naturally if you have a chance to freeze a mob or slow it down while you keep hitting it, it makes perfect sense. Traders can use ice to slow down mobs and npc thieves as well. Ice is magic and higher magic balance will make it a higher damage hit (as does fire/electric). There is the defensive buffs and a lot of people are in the camp of a good defense makes a good offense.

I rarely see players immune to ice but there are some of course but at my level I am waaaaaaay from pvp-ing any ice immune players ....(guess that indicates I am using the ice tree - yes I am on my new bow character - grinding red/orange mobs ice rules plus bow range helps )

I guess lastly new cap and new skills.

you int and your mana shield.....it seems kinda cheap to me you'll have the health of an STR and the damage of a nukers...wheres the balance there

im hybrid int, and i use ice imbrue if i fight high lv mobs

im Int nuker and i wont delvl fire lol. I wanna be different, every1 thinks mana shield pwn all str chars, idk much about it but it cant be like this. If it is like this then we are talking about the Best Build arent we? But there isnt best build aight?

can someone maybe explain me what is mana shield thingy and why it worth to make ice imcue for it? i mean you can steal ice buffs and all but not the imbue xD

mana shield is new skill in ice tree.
Its another ice buff. If the enemy hits u 10k then 10k is removed from ur mp and 5k(half of the real damage) is removed from ur hp. It lasts as long as u have mp. Its good for nukers, Str chars mostly cant use it cause they dont have enough mp.
U can get mana shield at lvl 20, then its lvl 1 and it removes 20%, at lvl 80 its maxed its 50%.

yeah but why people use ice imbue? i mean they can have the mana shield but why imbue?

at max lvl 50% from the dmg you get will to to your hp and 50% to your mp...so a 10k hit will mean a 5k hit on both your hp and mp
