How KSRO has dealt with botters

Yes, I realise some of you may disagree with this, but as I'm sure many of you who played KSRO would remember having to find a Korean Social Security Number in order to register. Thinking of that now, although I realise their reason for that is the whole 18+ thing, from my experiences, it did more than keep out minors.
Although I would kill JM if they made ISRO 18+, I would love them if they implemented the social security number online game registration feature. Doing this would put much pressure on botters and gold spammers to cease and desist as Joymax has physical access to who you are and where you live so as to deal with them.
This, unlike I'm sure many will flame me for, worked very well as a side bonus for KSRO, as in my experiences I never saw a single botter whilst playing Euro, and I had reached level 30. So in my utopian ISRO, SSN are implemented (without the 18+ restriction) to see a great reduction in conman of ISRO and a more socially responsible community.

ksro has huge bot lines in don. they just have a good system to keep gold bots and player bots from going over level 40. also no one bothers gold botting in euro when china is more effective.

I realise you would understand to a further extent then me, but then do botters simply do what we did to protect there personal information, such as stealing SSN?

AFAIK, the UK and possibly other Western nations don't use a SSN system. Some may use a National Insurance number and yaddayadda, making implementation rather tricky and messy.

I might be wrong but all countries are different when it comes to national security numbers and social security numbers, each country differs somewhat so it'd be a lot of work to make it work for all of the different countries I think.

JoyLag could just IP ban botters and solve some of the problem.

The word utopian comes up once again.....
Yes I realise it is alot of work, but maybe like Fly said, they could implement the system of no 40+ botters.....
Secondly, Fine, it is a lot of work, but it is do-able, so I believe after Euro, wich I believe is more important than the bot problem, they should begin working on a county>ssn system, WICH IS DO-ALBE! Begin with USA and Canada, then move on to foriegn countries.

It isn't difficult to change your IP, especially since ISP's don't give you rights over specific IP's.

it's pretty dumb having to give JM ur SSN to be able to play a free game, especially when we all know how much JM sux at security
bots will be bots, players will be players...as long as you dont think about why the executives make so much more money when they just sit around most of the day & for just a few hours a day, then you should have no problems in this world and in the game

this wont work the same way in the U.S. considering how crucial ur SSN is in the states. JM cant just collect SSNs from the U.S. government in order for people to play the game.

ban all bots will not make a change.... also IP range ban bot ip will be worst
innocent players will be affected, to people who buy gold to gold sites why dont you
just stop buying... rather than
boycott joymax by not buying silks... why not
stop buying gold to those who are buying, they will not sell if no one will buy, business will be bankrupt that will be the end of gold bots... bot sites was up and doing business since 5th day when silkroad was officially open, u cant do anything to
prevent bots from comming.. you ban them they will just pop out from nowhere.... you make new security feature.... they will make another way to bypass
"while normal gamers suffer"
think about it..... its time to change....
start it on yourselves.. not give all blame to joymax.... they are the one who serve us the game... if your sick with the game then leave....
sorry for rude words but thats
FACT

theres always that little chunck that everyone misses
SECURITY FALIURE
we all know isro security has failed so until isro gets a newsecurity and they put ssn in it ..... IT ssn is your identity if someone takes that your life is basically screwed cause who knows what they wikk do with your name/identity am i not right? cause if i read right there was a huge list on stolen accounts from paypal ..

this is a stupid idea... you have to keep in mind that video games represent a great deal of south Korean modern culture, and silkroad is not the only game taht requires SSN in south korea

Last time I went to ksro I saw some bots in Takla, there might not be as many as isro(probably because isro has way more players for one lol) but they are still there >.>, not to mention the better service they have.

This is to much effort, and way to much work for joymax to be doing to keep out botters and like it would keep them out people would find numbers or hack numbers to use. What you gonna do for people around the world, do you know how long it would take to figure out the rigth security numbers fro people in asia, europe, america and other parts of the world? This is rediculous what's the point. They should work on their customer service as a company and actualy care about their current customers before even thinking of doing so stupid and waste time and resources into this.
I'd rather they work on being a better company for us FIRST before they think about doing something as drastic as this. As well as this your destroying alot of the game population by doing this, alot of people are under the age of 16 to get a nin in england or any other country in europe and it's 18+ to get one in america? so come on that's rediculous and retarded, joymax would never be this stupid. If they did this, they better start giving a damn about the game before they think about doing something this stupid.

They have gold bots just like iSRO, except they're all in China duh.
How about introducing a low, one-time fee for creating new accounts? Cost would be 5 dollars for making a new account. Those who can't find a way probably shouldn't be playing in the first place.

haha yeah i know what you mean.
but in reality, joymax could order gold from goldselling companies and once they were introduced to the seller ingame, ban the account.
soda posted something once about a better working security program vs gameguard.. which
possibly could not allow access to botters to get ingame.
if there was a Europe, and North America SRO then I wouldn't mind giving my SSC away, but I don't think it would be possible to make it work in iSRO.

correct me if i'm wrong
then how could you guys play ksro while you are not Koreans ( you dont have Korean Social Security Number) ????
the same thing you did to play ksro and make an account will be done by other players in isro

iSRO needs to get another Protection program like GameGuard.
It isn't blocking the bot bot users

.
kSRO already has an advanceed program agianst bot users/programs.
And plus that Korean ID code it's like way impossible to bot in kSRO

that system to keep the bots below 40 seems kinda hard especially for those who just start the game.
rather have 100 goldbots level 52-80 that are allowed from joymax (sounds weird but its probably the best solution since gold buyers will never disappear) then 1k lower level bots.
