Right, so I downloaded cSRO and made a cleric because I planned on making a cleric for iSRO. After playing for a little while I noticed some large problems with clerics.

1) Switching targets!

It takes like a whole second to change targets. Add that to your reaction time and the time it takes to actually cast your healing spells, and your teammate is already dead.

2) Healing wrong target!

Sometimes when you try to use a spell on a teammate it will use it on the one you were targeting just a second ago! If this happens there is a good chance someone will die.

3) Healing yourself??

It is a bit more difficult to heal yourself because of the placement of your targety thingamajig at the top left of the screen. If you focus too much on just the other people in your party you may be dead before you can even try to heal!

It is good to get used to this right away so you don't develop bad Cleric'ing habits. By watching the action, you can tell who is going to be hit, which means you can be ready to heal your teammates or yourself so you don't have those seconds of lag. By making sure you have had your target selected long enough you can avoid healing the wrong person.

Are you sure you aren't having lag issues? When I played kSRO, my cleric never had these problems. [That is, targetting lag]. I did on the other hand die once because I focused on my team mate more than myself hehe.

Not really sure. I had this problem when the game was running smoothly. Although cSRO seems to have random lag. I guess we will hope for the best and see what happens.

doesnt party heal solve this problem?

^^ low level cleric experience.

Get ur mastery40 skills first to see what it can do.

You can click on the names left from your screen, thats faster to select a person in ur pt

Not even mention keyboard shortcuts to select party members.

I dont know yet if imma make a cleric or a warlock <_< depend if cleric job is really nice or just plain dumb <_< dont want a group heal spammer

No, he's totally right, there is a very annoying delay when switching who you want to heal next, there is a delay in spell casting itself, there is a delay in picking up items, there is a delay everywhere in the darn game and not to count the annoying pot delay of course.

I was cleric at first, but reaching level 15 I got sick and tired of doing NOTHING but that, heal, heal, heal, res, heal, res, res, res, heal, heal, heal.

For me, there was no fun at all, not one bit of fun playing the game doing that.

Then tell me what a chinese character does.

Hit hit hit hit hit hit hit (auto pot) hit hit oo giant zerk hit hit hit hit hit..

Chinese is solo fighting which means u jus have to worry abt ur own HP.
But as a cleric u gotta worry abt ur HP and the party's HP.

Im not a cleric but im a bard and MP heal my party .. worst part while MP healin is i hav to get my MP from the monster (one of the skill does tat) ... and it get so crazy some times
Click te monster > Use the skill to get MP > click party member > heal MP > heal te tanker > ..... click te monster > get MP again > .........

I was saying that you don't fight, you do participate in the fighting, all you do is serve others. That's all, that's it, you serve others.

In China, I -fight- monsters, I don't only auto pot, I run around, chase people, fight monsters, collect things, etc.

As a cleric... what do I do? Serve.

I strongly doubt you'll have many people wanting to do that when the update comes out, that and bards will be rare.

And please don't tell me otherwise Most people will go for the thrill of nuking, some for the thrill of fighting body-to-body against monsters and very few will actually will want to serve you

Bards can at least fight during battles, clerics, if they dare fight they will receive tons of insults "What the hell are you doing, do your job and stop fighting monters". Yeeeaaahhhh... right!

Well, that's the point on it being a supporter class, you didn't expect to be able to kill anything did you?

you dont serve, you keep ur team alive, it's the thing I really enjoyed in Guildwars. I take skill to move aorund keep ur group healthy and avoid gangbang.

Yeah, your going to heal just one or 2 people ALWAYS cast the shield buff, so no one wont get hurt while you healing.

I am a wiz/cleric, and I dont have problems healing others and myself, but when I lag...... everybody is dead
