There REALLY ARE nice people in SRO.

I asked my guild master if he could grind on my character (SP farming) while i was at my girlfriends and he said yes, and that he would do it every day.

I was a little worried i admit, but i trust him, hes been great to everyone he knows and hell, his account is better than mine anyway.

I come back today, he has gained me a shit load of SP, AND HE BOUGHT ME 100 SILK for a 4 week skill ticket. Such a nice guy.

TripNip on Zeus. Amazing guild master :D

Just wanted to say, nice people do exist. But be sure in who you trust.

So, if I get this right, you shared your account with someone else and all of you guys are applauding the fact that someone publicly admits to account sharing which is illegal of course.

Well, unless I read this totally wrong, I'd give a very needed -1 to this thread which pretty much condones illegal action.

If you're not there, at your computer, training your character, no one should do it for you. Sad to see you people so proud of what he's done.

Although, I'd say it's even more sad to see a forum mod actually being ok with this thread too.

You make a point. However, we're not in fact enforcers of the official SRO rules. We're not GM's. We're just a fan site. Frankly, most of us don't care. To the best of my knowledge, the only extremely strong thing that the Mods and Admins don't allow is discussion of botting - as it most likely will lead to accusations, and flames, which aren't aloud.
This topic is not celebrating breaking SRO rules. This topic is celebrating the fact that, there ARE people, like it or not, that, when they sit behind a monitor, feel safe. Because you don't know them. Because you can't do anything to them. So they gain your trust. And then they rob you blind. Anybody can do that in an MMORPG, without any drawbacks or consequences.
This thread is to celebrate the fact that, even though his GM was behind a screen, and could have taken all of his stuff, robbed him blind, and then, subsequently kicked him out of the guild, he instead chose to help him, as well as buy him Silk. Something that I'm question if YOU would do. Not anything against you, as I even question myself if I'm that selfless to do that.
This thread is just to celebrate the fact that, in today's society, even in today's ONLINE society, there are still nice people out there in the world.

So chill.

I doubt they are proud of the sharing account action but the fact that the person he trusted, was actually worth of trust.

Don't tell me to chill, in fact, never tell me to chill, you have no right to tell me to chill. You do have the right to your own opinion, and I won't ever tell you to chill because I respect your right to express yourself although I will submit that I do not agree with your opinion at all.

There nothing to celebrate here at all, cheating is no celebration, no matter if is a tiny bit of honesty in a cheating action it is still cheating.

As for the mods, I would expect much more than to support a thread about cheating, if only to turn a blind eye on the thread creation itself.

And yes, this isn't SRO but this isn't also a hacker/spammer/cheater forum last I've checked.

So again, nothing here to celebrate at all, that is my opinion, please respect that and never tell anyone, even people you know to chill, it's very condescending, makes you look like you are some kind of truth beholder and they are some little child in seek of your higher wisdom.

You can agree or disgree with people and still show respect to people.

I didn't mean to insult you, if that's how it came across as.
However, if you have a problem with it, PM a Mod. Cin is online currently, and he'll PM you back ASAP. If he chooses to lock it, so be it. If he doesn't, just leave it at that. :) The Mods are good Mods, and they do everything for a reason. Maybe they just haven't read this thread yet.
So if you really have such a large concern, bring it up with the Mods. I'm sure that they would be able to help.

No I read the entire thread, each post of course. And yes, I took the "chill" as an insult but thanks for the clarification. I always try and stress that I respect everyone's right to their own opinion, even if I don't agree with them and won't insult unless I'm insulted first (dumb way of acting but heh... it's moi).

And my concern is "mild", I'm just mostly disappointed, I'd prefer a clean game where people don't do things like that. If you aren't there, then you shouldn't gain an advantage over other players and have someone train for you.

I remember on another online gaming site, some people were offering to kill a big boss for you in exchange for GP, the fight was very tough, but how is the satisfaction when all you can say to people is "Well... errrr... I didn't quite... humm.. kill it...".

But hell, I'm old fashion and legit and a loser of course, I mean, in iSRO, being legit is being a loser but I love being a loser, it gives me a bit of satisfaction knowing that everything I do, I do it myself. Kind of like having a computer tell you which move you should make next in Chess... not much fun there.
