How does the gt time count?

How does the gt time work during training? Like does it stop and go during training? (i don't really know to put my question in the right words) :\

the first time you kill a monster (or a monster attacks you) it will start to count down. when you havent attacked (or being attacked) for 20 secs it will stop counting down

the GT will always completly stop when you enter a 8/8 exp share party.
your over all time (3 hours a day) will run down but the actual GT its self
will not count down, but keep in mind in the 8/8 party you will get no
extra exp or sp

im trainin on penon at lvl 48 right now and it takes 2 nukes to kill them and 1 nuke to kill mugjjis. Which one would benift from my gt more cause i wanna use the most out of gt that i can.

I prefer pennon warriors

They hit just a bit more than fighters but they are not stronger really. And Only 2 hits required to kill them.
