I have heard from some freinds that in Euro, you Cannot bot. Is this true? Will this show how "Legit" people accually are?
I am not a bot Supporter or anything of the sort, but I would like to know. If you cannot bot, this may be a Very good thing for SilkRoad.
Thanks
If your going to flame about something, please PM me so not everyone has to read it. kthx

it looks like europe chars lvl in a party based system. so either u lvl really slow, or join a party and participate in group fighting. i doubt many parties will invite bots.

people will bot and set clerics or whatever on auto heal and the rest to do only one skill.
shouldnt be too hard i think itll be infested with bots within a couple weeks.

Not only cant you bot in a share party, but it will also deter botting, as it would be more logical for anyone to find a share party and fight together rather than solo botting. Since Gold tickets work in a share party, this would mean better exp than soloing and it would deter Chinese from botting and help contribute in a party.

however, imagine high levels botting with noob chars tracing them..
powerleveling in euro is a bit too easy.
meh idk man. guess we just have to wait and see

Probably won't be botting on euro, but they don't have too, if its the way ksro was I won't say it lol, but if so then euros should lvl pretty freakin fast, faster then chinese bots, at least upto 5x.

Apparently its not that difficult to get around the party issue if some1 is that determined to bot a euro char. But botting will hit a new low when that time comes, it gives a new meaning to "teamplay" and "teamwork".
Stupid multiclient <.<
On the bright side, it will be more easier to identify a group of botters

Somehow, I get the feeling there'll be a lot of cleric bots soloing in Euro...maybe on Chinese maps...

well
botting has become a norm for some in chinese >.<
but
IF YOU ARE GOING TO BOT EURO thats pathetic...it is teamplay and team effort, maybe JM wasnt bannin cuz they were preparing this update
i hope
chinese is goin down but i believe euro will be different

The theory is that since you cannot pot very fast, you will need to work in teams (at least as far as I understand it; if you have a better idea, please let me know). This will not deter botters, since a lot of botters do not pot to begin with. I think Europe will see its share of botters just like the Chinese areas have. Slightly different type of botters perhaps, but botters nontheless.

Theres no bot for it yet, but i'm sure it's only a matter of time before 369 makes a bot for europe and allow people to bot up europe chars, but then your gonna have the problem of training with toher people to survive but multi clienters won't have that problem but then you could always find people to train with somewhere lol. That or you could just make a tanker.

Of course you CAN bot. But it's way better to be in a party. You gain way more xp that way. So botting solo is useless. (And nearly impossible)
So yes you CAN bot. But it's no use.

Doesn't look like it. Reading the website, it seems like there will be a penalty in experience if the highest-to-lowest lvl difference in a party is more than 20.

in the beginning you wont see any botters, cause the bot-making company needs time to make a new bot for the Euro skills and al kinds of new things, but eventually the bots will take over Europe 2

i think the party system and the fact that a party will need to communicate if they're to survive will deter euro bots. If the healer dies all the other bots are ..... and we all know how dumb bots can be...I can't imagine the time it would take to program a bot like that. Besides if we see Euro bot parties just get a warrior use a skill to draw mobs and then lead them to the bot healer....should take long

You CAN bot >_> Just grab any mage character, set him off in a mob area 3-6 levels below him and do the business. Bots don't care how fast they level, as long as they make levels and they can sit back and watch its all right for them. But I think its also easy to kill them too, lure a few mobs and you'll see that poor thing spawn back to town. Awesome feeling

Wouldn't go over too well, waiting 20 seconds to get mp, and if it gets mobbed, even by stuff a few lvls lower its screwed, even healers, they will just run out of mp before they die lol.
I tried it when I was in ksro anyway, went to the craps when they were lower lvl, couldn't even take a giant.

wait what a mod...who?
anyway botter care a great deal about lvling its safe to say that the people who bot only bot to enjoy being high lvls and (correct me if im wrong) useing a mage at any place hwere theres agro monsters eve if they are 3-6 lvls below + the lmit on the exp you gain since your not in a party + the 30 sec pot time, make do that rather pointless. You'd be dead in like 3 hits from the agro mobs, be gaining alot less exp compared to someone who was not botting, and you'd have no way to heal yourself except for every 30 secs......i think all that stuff kinda makes botting stupid for Euro characters....they're designed to be in a party and JM made pretty sure there not much they can do without a good party

I tried Euro on KSRO a long time ago. If I place my mage at a right place, (gosh I wasn't even a mage. I was a bard hitting with my NORMAL harp +0 no blues) I can one-hit those mobs before they can even touch me. No need for pots. Just stand there and normal hit mobs. I'm just saying that's the only way I can imagine how anybody can actually "bot" with a Euro race.

it's okay my friend.....we have reached what they call an "agreement" of sort...together our responses have come up with a good answer....Botting would only be possible in the lower lvls but as you lvl more botting would become increasingly difficult....we're learning from each other...a forum at its best

They have instituted a 20 level gap penalty. If there is a gap of more than 20 levels, neither party receives XP. Nice huh?
EDIT: Sorry Iguana, didnt read all the way, you said it first. LOL
______________
Im getting this impression of people going to sro.com, looking at the bright colored pictures, rushing back here and asking a lot of questions that they could have answered themselves by just reading what JM put in the update info. Im not talking about this thread, just a bunch of the threads being posting. Its kinda silly.

At higher levels a crit followed by another hit to a wizard or anything int = death, without any party buffs, such as warrior defensive buffs or clerics, soloing with a wizard is too risky, they have a 90% chance of dying at any time. You could only survive for a while if the monsters are lower level than you, I have seen a lvl 60 Wizard die at penons because he had 2 and 1 of them critted him.
