Are archers allowed to run away so they can gain distance in PVP? I mean would you view that as cowardish and weak? Cos I sometimes get called chicken when I try to kite, but that's the way an archer is suppose to fight right? Archers are not suppose to stand in one spot and just shoot arrows.

No it's not . They just say that when they get p00ned. And when euro comes out. Crossbows and wizards/warlocks will do the same..

in a job war or guild war, you can do whatever you want in order to win. thats the point of a war.

in a 1v1 duel, running away is cheap. phantom is a move which gives distance between you and the enemy. thats not running away. thats useing your build correctly. running away is switching to a shield and running across half the map just to recharge hp so you dont get owned by someone that would own you in a fair fight. by all means, run around and kite the enemy. but dont run away in a 1v1 duel.

Nope, I disagree, that's fair game too. I can't find that button on the actions tab. Is that a ok edit or a hack?

noob. those skills arent implemented for nothing lol. its part of the game.

just like in CS ppl dont whine if you flash them

I actually hate people who call me/other people a "noob", because they are immature and can't stand losing, etc...

if you are just using phantom to go a short distance than its ok but if you decide to equip a shield and run half way across the map (which is usually how it works) then its not a fair fight

sure u can run away ... but make sure when u run ... u survive ... if not, VERY EMBARRASSING ....

just say: an archer freezes the enemy to the ground than phantoms away and start shooting again. chicken or strat? :D

No that aint noob...well, if you use phantom or walk a short distance like the others said...I sometimes do the same so I can get a nuke between it without to much problem...

I hate people who run...I one time had a lvl 60 glaive (i'm 57 pure intish) he ran from me lol O.o sad...sad *shaking head*

OT:
Only run if you are low on health. Else, there is no need to.
This is how I used to run away when people who had no ice immunity:
Frost nova -> Phantom -> Vision/Demon arrow.
Very effective IMO.

well when i had my pure int lvl 73 i used to run a lot so i wouldnt get hit and i usualy won all my battles it is only a startegy

i had a pvp 1 vs 1
both pure str bladers
well i lost 100 hp pot and no one is dead yet
i got out of pots so ran to town to buy pots
he called me noob

lol, this also annoys the hell outta me. You get these glaives and sword\blade users spamming their stun and kd attacks, and they whine when you use phantom. "OMGZ RUNNERZ!!" is one ive heard a lot, lol. I just simply say, ok, you dont want me to use phantom, dont use kd or stun. Simple. (they never like it when i say that )

it doesnt matter. there is no rule book for pvp, one on one no rules.

Its smart.

I Use ghost walk in pvp i only tend to run with a shield if ive got more then one person attacking me.

Use the distance to avoid being kd, kb or stun isnt being coward is being smart and take profit of the advantage of your build. I always try to put distance between me and my opponent because I can shoot from distance and they cant and my skills take longer time to cast so that give time launch a strong hit. I remember once waiting for Yarkan that I was doing pvp on the arena and I kill 7 to 9 times a 1:2 hibrid spear. Then he start to call me running noob because I was always putting distance before he could make his weapon skills after the nuke (if I can kill you more than 5 times on a row you cant say that Im the noob and more considering that he he was 1 level higher than me ).


Blader and glavier can usually just spam their stronger skills, but archer and nuker should learn to choose careful when to tank and when put distance.

Anyway, "noob" is a filler word used online by mentally challenged people who fail to come up with something more ellaborate or to make a point, so who cares?

nukers have the same prob
this is how a pure int s/s should pvp:
spear nuke, switch to s/s and kd and stab stab, phantom as far as possible as you switch to spear, repeat (easy to do with logitech G15 keyboard with properly set macros)

I ran a lot, its a great strategy cus they don't know what your gonna do, or when you might phantom walk the opposite direction then atk. I always get called a wuss after I kill them too lol.

I loved doing that to botters, when they are chasing me I time a phantom walk to go behind me just as they do one towards me, it pissed em off a lot lol.

Distance is an advantage of bows, it's hard but gotta use it :d.

theres nothing wrong with running in pvp.

if they call you noob, its cuz their too noob to try and catch you
