Stall Network. Is this gonna kill stall trading?

If everyone knows the price of everything without having to check stalls then rarely is anyone going to sell cheap anymore. You just go on to the network, see what the average price is, then price you item accordingly.

I don't think it'll make items cheaper in the long run because people who over price things rarely sell items anyway.

So, if you can only buy things at the same price you can sell them for the profit from trading things like elements and sox is going to be nonexistent!

Take elements for example. Everyone will know exactly what the selling price is for each element, everyone then sells at same price. If everyone sells Wind 2 at 2k then nobody will buy to sell on as no profit can be made. This will result in the only people selling it being the ones who have been out and obtained them from grinding. I think this will result in a shortage of Wind 2 without the price going up. Shortage of wind 2 means less chance of improving weapons etc.

I might be wrong but, seeing as stall trading is one of the most enjoyable parts of the game for me (I know I'm sad but I just like making gold :) ), then I think I'll be quitting if it kills this aspect of the game. :(

There's a lot of discussion left on the subject so please go ahead :)

I see the Forum Mods have been busy. Thank you for removing some of the uninformed (? :) ) posts here.

Quicker and easier yes, cheaper?? I doubt it. The way natural mentality goes people will try to increase price slightly waiting for any cheaper items to be sold quickly. The inexperienced stallers and the plain lazy people will then just see the hgher proces on itmes left, price their items accordingly and in no time at all the average price has gone up. Although I don't think this will apply to element sales.

Great Marketing, my favorite.

Well in the REAL world there's this thing called competition. As all the AFK stallers overprice their stuff, people that just want to sell and go back to grinding will price their items a bit cheaper which would mean they would start selling more and more and causing the AFK stallers to sell less and less, ridding them xD

If there is a shortage of any element, then prices will naturally go up. This is supply and demand and is the way that any market system works. The stall system will just mean there is a better match between prices and demand for an item and better price stability in the long term.

There will always be bargains to be had as people price their stuff cheaper so that they sell quicker. It's just a matter of keeping an eye out on the stall system. I think the overall economy will be better off as people spend less time going from stall to stall looking for the item they want, and stallers sell stuff quicker, so towns are less congested.

In reality people will do the exact opposite. Once they see higher prices they will think, " hmm let me make it a little cheaper so it sells"

Yours sell quick but there's only so many people that will reduce items to sell quick. Then for a majority of the time the higher priced items are only around. Seeing as there is only 3000 people logged in at any one time, a large gameplay area and a few towns to sell in, the cheaper items will be few and far between in comparrison to people stalling for 12+ hours.

The result of this means the only profit to be made is from drops, as Marce_ points out quite correctly. I'm refering to what I call stall trading where you buy cheap and sell for more.

It will make buying stuff much easier, but as for the prices, they will be like ksro, much lower than isro.

Based on ksro I'm completely wrong on my views. However, ksro is only played by a large majority of just Koreans. Yes, I know people from other countries play too but it's a snall minority. I think the attitude (not nescessarily the majority) of people on isro will deal with the stalling network in a totally different way.

However, this still doesn't deflect from the point that stall trading to make a profit will become impossible. There are too players that will not care the price of an item to worry about waiting for something cheap.

not reallt i think the onyl reason why ppl lag in town is the massive amounts of ppl stalling....i don't lag anywhere but town unless my internet connection is farking up or im torrenting...so less stalls will = less lag in town

I dont see how this could kill stalling, its just makes it easier to find something. Besides, having the prices so everone can see is good for the buyer(us) because to sell anything the stallers will keep having to undercut each other

one of the new things is ability to turn ppl in town invisible or watever...so ppl w/ bad pc's/isp's wont lag out ~_^

Stall network = all stalls in town can be browsed from 1 action menu
by selecting categories.

Ppl will have to open stall same way, stall network registration costs 1% from sold items.

Will be same lag and even more since 2 way to browse all stalls.

The way stall network will lag the server more:
Before u opened 1 stall by 1.
Now if u open the stall network and search it will look thru all the stalls in that town.
Reason stall network search is limited in ksro ones every 10 second.

This is nice.. i play csro and they have the stall system.... and every 30 mins they get the SPECIAL SALE or BARGAIN Sale...

Best part .. none of the towns is crowded :D

SPECIAL SALE or BARGAIN Sale

thats for trading...at secret trade NPC places...nothing to do wif stalls network :P

If everyone knows the price of everything without having to check stalls then rarely is anyone going to sell cheap anymore. You just go on to the network, see what the average price is, then price you item accordingly

i gotta agree...u kinda LOSE the motivation to check EVERY stall and look out for some of the real cheap stuff other people are selling ,hence missing out on the bargain/items that u dun use urself....
eg. there mayb a stall selling SOS 16 bow for 500k but bcuz u use glaive...u will nv bother to search for bow and there u go, missing a bargain....and things lk that

but overall, i thk the stall network is nice (tried in cSRO) and convenient...thumbs up...though the Accessory they can juz group ring, necklace, earring together instead of separating them into 3 diff categories (accessory sellers aint that many compared to weapon, clothes)

Well, at least players will have an idea of the current market price for any items on the stall network. It does quicken transactions, but it wont make prices cheaper, even though prices will quickly shift to the market price, it wouldnt be flattering <.< not with gold bots, gold selling and buying, and gold duping still abundant in all servers.

i am very glad with this will make shopping a lot easier not to talk about bargain hunters who usually abuses others "stupidity" to get their items on very very low prices

this might also focus some of the stallers (cause they will check more time on what they are selling) to not be mistaken and add wrong prices.

I find any of those buy low sell high abusers anyway but that is my view. the more greedy people get for their own items the less fun the server will be.

Work for your money, like you should for your levels and stop abusing other people what is the difference of scamming someone or talk someone into a way too low price for his item?

Unfortunately, it might mean an end to the noobs who sell sosun for a few hundred K on accident (or even if someone does, it will be gone in an instant). Average prices will probably drop a bit though.
