You could use antivirus to remove it...but if it were me I would just reformat my harddrive. That way you know for sure all traces of it are gone.

No, you aren't.
Find out what it is, research it, find its behaviour (I.E does it cloak etc), Head into the registry, delete all entries pertaining to keylogger and Logger.Keylogger.nv, find a program that will check all outgoing packets sent by your computer and by what program (I cannot remember its name.. probably ethereal), check your processes for abnormalities.
And of course, delete the original file.
That should do it.

Why take a chance with a keylogger? You can do all that still might miss something.

You're not the only one who got that btw. Other players also got that (who dwnld straight from JM) with AVG and i think kaspersky as well. Just update your AVG, get a software firewall if you hvnt and replace silkroad.exe.

from morningdue herself:
The problem is not bots or anything.
The problem is your Anti Virus.
Read the announcement regarding Trojan Virus.
lol you come and cry that you get keyloger, stop using bot you prick.
Is like 99% that you get that loger from bot programs
you two need to know your information before you start accusing people of things.
if you read Joymax annoucments they said that theres a problem with some people's AV's saying that the sro client is keylogged or has a trojan.
and also, if he did download a bot, IT WOULDNT SHOW SILKROAD.EXE AS KEYLOGGED IT WOULD SHOW THE BOT THAT HE DOWNLOADED AS KEYLOGGED
BUT YOU CAN SEE THAT THE SCAN RESULTS ARE FOR SILKROAD.EXE
idiots

here it is straight from sro site:
Some of our players are experiencing problems after the newest client update on May 23rd (Silkroad Standard Time) with their anti-virus program. Certain anti-virus programs are detecting the Silkroad client file as a virus and preventing users from executing the file. We are aware of this problem and working to fix it as soon as possible.
For players using Kaspersky as their anti-virus program, we have confirmed with Kaspersky that this problem exists. If you are using other anti-virus programs and experience problems, please try downloading the newest update for your anti-virus program. If the error is still not fixed, let us know through the forums, and we will post updates as they become available.
We apologize for the delay in addressing this problem and for the inconvenience caused, and ask for our users’ understanding in this matter. The issue lies with incompatibility with certain anti-virus programs, causing them to detect the Silkroad file as a virus. There is no actual virus.
If you cannot run the game normally, or are receiving an error message such as [Error code 2] because of this anti-virus problem, please uninstall your current version of Silkroad, then install Silkroad again. Your game should run normally.
To protect the security of our users, Silkroad Online runs daily virus checks. Please be assured that there is no danger of your system being infected through the game or our website. The majority of issues like these arise from software incompatibility or use of illegal third party programs. We recommend our users to refrain from visiting unauthorized, unsafe, or illegal websites, downloading illegal or suspicious programs and attachments, and to run periodic virus scans on their computer systems.
the announcement itself says Viruses not just trojans, so a virus can be anything. worm, trojan, keylogger, etc etc

Well i don't like to tell other people that they bot, but i think that you got that virus from a bot. When downloading porn and etc. the viruses don't catch up to files like sro.exe

. They mostly attack files that are very important for your PC's work.
Also since i don't play sro anymore i visit some of those bot sites and lately most of the "illegal" bot files, so the free/cracked once were full of viruses. Update your AVG more frequently and also first check your sro files, before trusting people from unknown sites

1 step: delete sro
2 step: install sro
3 step: install sro bot
4 step: start sro
5 step: start your bot
6 step: come back in 1 month and own some legit ass
ol you come and cry that you get keyloger, stop using bot you prick.
Is like 99% that you get that loger from bot programs
Damir-
sooooo......ummm anymore info of how to use a bot? seems to me you know more about it than i do
